This was all started by our special owner. Do you guys think Jerry does it on purpose?

I actually agree with Stephen A. Smith on this one LMAOOO! It's more about having a kid to tend to.

Lol. If Tony has a great year, Skip will break both arms patting himself on the back. And he'll need a new partner after Stephen A has his coronary.

Wow, here we are in the off-season. There are 32 teams to talk about yet our Cowboys still get most of the attention. I mean really, an 8 min bit on Romo's golf game?

SAS had a point, it could be due to his new family and obligations of a baby. I will say one thing, there are 30 other QB's out there probably doing even less than Romo has/is doing in the off-season. Only Peyton might be doing more, but IDK, maybe he is working on his golf game too.

I don't think JJ does this on purpose, I don't think he even cares and just speaks his mind without thinking about the repercussions.

If Tony wants to play golf, then by all means, play golf until training camp then give your undivided attention.

If this was any of the other 31 starting QB's in the league, this would not even make the headlines!

People can say what the want about Jerry, but as far as Romo goes Jerry has given him a lot of money. Not only thru his contracts, but also thru his endorsements which he doesn't get if he's in say, San Francisco and only has 1 career playoff victory.

I personally don't think his golf is hurting him on the field. I do think the years with Jessica Simpson did because from what I was told by trustworthy contacts of mine...Romo never missed practices, but as soon as he was allowed to leave he was out of there and off to LA. If anything, I questioned all of that travel back-and-forth during that timeframe.

Anyway...if I were in the same position as Romo and the guy who has played a major role in making me a cajillionaire is basically asking for 3 years to stop playing competitive golf I would do it because I think it's a small favor to ask for somebody who has done so much for his career. It doesn't mean he can never play golf...just competitive golf. And he's only got about 3 years left in his pro career before he can play all of the golf he wants, while still in his 30's.

Romo is NOT giving up golf.
Good grief.:laugh2:

Also, what are these endorsements Romo is swimming in?
The guy actively avoids endorsements because of the time it requires and how it sometimes comes off as overkill.
A few hours with the family or playing golf beats a day or two flying to wherever to do photoshoots or commercials for endorsements.

Plus, I'll say it one more time...these two clowns are idiots, especially regarding this topic.

I just can not bring myself to click on the play button.

Just as I no longer will watch them on TV.

I feel that doing so only further encourages them to keep up with the idiotic banter and style that they do to keep themselves working and if I helped them with that in any way I should be punished.

!
That is a point that so many overlook.
Oh, and by the way, Peyton goes hunting and fishing in the offeseason, spends a lot of time with his family, flies around the US doing umpteen zillion commercials, plays some golf (not much), and spends time doing charity work.

Romo does skips the fishing, skips the hunting, and skips the commercials, but golfs, spends time with family, and also does charity work.

They ALL have a life outside of football. No exceptions.
