Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said Marion Barber (quad) is still not 100 percent but "he's still explosive."

Barber was on the injury report Wednesday because of that lingering quad injury, but he practiced. Two weeks ago, running backs coach Skip Peete said Barber could feel his quad for another 10 weeks. Still, as long as Barber is playing he's a must start.

I love me some MBIII, but it seems like resting him might be in order. I don't know much about this injury. If it's something that he can play on without aggravating it, then I guess it's OK. We do need him to close tight games for us. On the other hand, if he make it worse by playing, then sit him.

Cue in the start T. Choice comments..
It at least makes sense to start your healthy rb when he's already shown he can handle the load and makes plays.

My sentiments exactly,,, and how is it that these crack reporters from the world of 24/7 reporting don't ask about the possibility of aggravating the injury or the benefits of resting MBIII?

At this point in time there isn't much chance of making it worse. I don't think he's lost much muscle strength but I suppose it could be a little.

It's clear he's not where he needs to be and the team has suffered because of it. Barber is a beast when healthy but pretty average right now. Felix was able to offset that a little last game but without him making some plays in the running game, the results may have been different.

It may sound like hate but Choice is a better option at least right now.

Not sure about this conclusion.

Our deepest position depth wise.. Give Barber a 1 week break to get 100%.

Choice has proven he can do it, every time he's been given a chance. With Felix back.. Give these 2 the chance to shine all day long. Let Barber sit this one out.

UNLEASH Felix! Give me screens and out of the back field tosses, and some sweeps. Let Choice pound the rock! This team can run any way we want to.

Sit him for a game or two. Not only does the injury get a chance to heal faster (possibly) he also comes in very fresh for the second half.
