I was listening to Wade Phillips' Press Conference yesterday and I was intrigued about his comments about acquiring Keith Brooking and what Keith Brooking is like in practice.
In the Press Conference, Wade Phillips said that he liked Keith Brooking's leadership skills but wasn't sure how the players in the Cowboys locker room would view him as far as a leader, considering it was his first year.
Wade Phillips said the main reason players started rallying around Keith Brooking is because of how hard he works. Wade Philliips said that Keith Brooking is relentless and not only does he try to beat everyone in drills, but he does the drills the hardest way possible.
Folks, remember what people inside and around the Cowboys use to say about Michael Irvin. Lesser players would pick up their game and work a lot harder because they looked over and saw one of the best players working his rear end off and refused to accept failure.
I think Keith Brooking is having the same effect on the Dallas Cowboys. Not only is he one of the better players on the team, but the guy is intense and other players on the team are almost forced to match his intensity.
I will never forget the report that said Keith Brooking was mad upset about the lack of intensity in practice and was thinking about picking a fight with someone to get everyone to match his intensity.
This guy has been huge for this team.
