Wade Phillips? Yay or Nay?

I was just wondering what you guys think of Wade so far. I know the season hasn't started so there isn't very much to judge him on, but i like him so far. The players definately seem to like the change and there seems to be a much better attitude throughout the team. I must say i like how involved he is, and how more is open to the media for us fans.

anyway, there was a lot of unhappy people when wade was named head. Has anyone changed their mind?

He wasn't my first choice but he is here now so I hope he does well. Like many, ask this again during middle of the season when we have fairly good idea what he brought to the table.

I was never unhappy with his selection. I don't know how many ways this question can be asked but it certainly gets asked alot around here. I think Phillips is a good coach and we will see how this team responds to him when the games start counting.

Let's see what happens. I like him from a defensive standpoint as he'll make it better. Let's see what happens

Wade Phillips is the anti-Parcells and I think he will open up this team and get some better results.

BP was like a guy who got an old car and rebuilt in from top to bottom and souped up the engine and transmission but on race day would rev up its powerful engine but never take his foot off the clutch and the car would just sit there spinning its wheels and squealing its tires and looking powerful but never get very far because he holds it back for reasons others have a hard time figuring out.

As much as I respected BP, he has changed and was no longer successful and I'm glad he's gone and I think Wade will take the team BP built and be successful with it. I'm smiling about what I've seen so far and if I'm still happy with him in December, I'll be grinning.

Here's a question ...how can someone call Wade Phillips the "anti-Parcells" ...then turn around and say they respect the Tuna?

Listen, win, lose or draw, Bill Parcells has the respect of this Eagle's fan.

I also believe that Wade Phillips is on the bubble. Poor guy was at a disadvantage coming into the inherited position. Bill Parcels probably needed one more year working cohesively with the team to make the final preparations to re-open Dallas' window.

Regardless of what franchise you're talking about, the players ...and GM must support the head coach if the team is to become successful.

If Wade isn't successful this year, I really don't believe Jerry is going to tolerate additional attempts.
