Cowboys fans, time to wake up, other teams are looking at head coaches, assistant coaches, defensive coordinator, linebackers coaches, etc, but good ole wade is still standing still.

He promised to get tough, well way to get tough is go out and start doing interviewing for coaches, not stand still and let the cream of the crop of coaches be hired, while you are standing still.

Like the old saying, the early bird gets the worm!

If you wait, then you get whats left over, and that isnt good.

As you know, we dont have a defensive coordinator now, most likely as you all have heard, we may not have a linebackers coach.

The rams new head coach is looking at assistant coaches now.

Coach capers has already been looked at in green bay and now Giants head coach is looking at him for their defensive coordiantor.

While we stand still, that to me makes a statement. Coach cupcake promised to get things done, give him time to get his plan in motion, well, its been over 3 weeks now!

Still no defensive coordinator. Now i know some of you are going to say, jerry jones is going to pull a big deal and go get Shanahan, or someone like that. But what if jerry jones doenst, and wade is suppose to get the coaches?

By time good ole wade gets around to it, the good coaches are already gone, and the cowboys are left holding the bag.

Even the Houston Texans, after their season was over, hired some coaches.

Again, the early bird gets the worm! And to me, if it is wade that is suppose to get the coaches, it shows how he stands still and waits, and waits, thinking everythign is OK!

That if is what is going on, shows how good ole wade does the team, he waits, till he is forced to do something. That to me isnt a very good head coach.

And for the ones that said wait, its not been long enough yet.

Well, rams hired a coach, lions hired a coach, packers and giants are looking at capers, the texans hired about 3 coaches. While the cowboys are standing still if no defensive coordiantor yet, and are all of you happy with the ideal of Campo running the 3-4 defense when in reality he hasnt ran a 3-4 defense as a defensive coordinator before?

Time stands still for no one! :bang2: :starspin

Just what, exactly, would you like me to do?

You need to relax! There is no need to rush and make a hasty decision the team has to live with. Just because their is not a lot of news being reported does not mean discussions are not happening with candidates.

Why are we quiet?

Because Jerry Jones already stated after the massive meltdown in Philadelphia that Wade Phillips was going to be the Head Coach in 2009.

Furthermore, Jerry Jones repeated this on Norm Hitzges Show a few days later and even stated that he felt firing Chan Gailey after 2 Seasons was a mistake and he wasn't going to make that same mistake twice.

Time to come to grips with that fact.

So what you're saying is..............the early bird gets the worm? Hmmm....I'm not familiar with that saying. I like it though.

Why?

Because Jerry is loyal to Jason.

If Jason would've left town I think Wade would be done.

Jerry thinks to much of the Garretts to fire him.

the Browns got up early and they got the worm......they ran out and hired Mangini...since then Gruden and Shanahan became available....you think they want a do over?

if you wait whats left?...well there are 4 teams still playing ...maybe they want to raid some of those staffs.....i mean we could just promote Campo now if that would make you feel better...or they could wait a week and get someone off of Ravens or Steelers D staff....

Not that it looks like we'll get him but if Jerry had fired the whole staff and jumped at the first candidates he wouldn't have been in line to get Shananhan.

Browns hired Mangini, the Jets had him yet fired him. Yes lets bring Rex Ryan here, I want to see what he can do with our Defense

There will be no high profile DEF coordinator.
Wade is excellent at DEF management and will need a young guy or a compliant older guy (Campo) to help coordinate and develop DBs.

By the way re: Early bird cliches: "Good things come to those who wait" is also a cliche someone can obsess over.

The one I like is... The early bird may get the worm but the SECOND mouse gets the cheese!

Think about that for a minute!
