You know the offensive line stinks so you scream to replace the QB? The QB is not the problem and has not been since 1989.
The difference is in the 90's we had an offensive line. Since 2000 they stink.
Another problem is it usually takes 2 to 3 YEARS before an offensive lineman drafted is very good in this league and we do not have 3 more years to wait for performance form them. The O line should have been top priority back 1999 through 2004.
Not that I was a Quincy Carter fan but if you all remember I was telling everyone then that Carter was not the problem it was the offensive line. Still is.......

THere are two universal turths regarding the QB in the NFL.
1 - A QB under constant pressure will perform worse. DOesn't matter if you are Brady or Bledsoe, you will not be at your best if guys are hitting you every play.
2 - To be a successful QB in this league, you have to be able to deal with pressure. Every DC in teh league is trying to get guys in your face, whether you're Brady or Bledose they are going to try and hit you as much as possible. The good ones can produce even with the pressure, the bad ones can't.
There were times last year when Bledsoe could handle it. The KC game or even the SD game comes to mind when Bledose was taking his shots, was getting harried, but still managed to deliver the ball downfield. He simply can't do it this year.
Sure he was harassed in the Jax game. But he made several terrible throws when there was no one within five feet of him. Ditto the Philly game. THere was no pressure on him whatsoever when he made the terrible decision to ignore the play design and throw it Glenn on the pick before the the half ended against NY.
Its one thing to have to protect the QB. Its another when you have to do it every single play, or he becomes no better than a happy-foot rookie.
Blame the O-line all you want. But Brady often doesn't get much better play than Drew got last night from his O-line, and succeeds anyway.
