The only reason that I even caught that is because when we still ran the 4-3, I really wanted us to pick up Berry as a free agent. Instead, we got Marcellus Wiley who produced 3 sacks while Berry posted 14.5 sacks in Arizona.

I'm not looking to FA to fill any possible starting positions that might be open. This year's crop of FAs does nothing to excite me, particularly at WR, CB, and RB which is our biggest areas of need.

The draft does have solid players at those positions and I would like to see us getting younger and developing some fresh talent rather than constantly looking to fill in the gaps with older, more expensive players.

That said, I would not at all mind trading our 2nd rounder for WR Roy Williams if the Lions would go for that (we could always throw in Carpenter ).

Yea, this years crop of free agents that will actually be available is WEAK!!!

We can fill most of our needs in the draft or possible trade (2nd for Roy). Save our money and resign our own, nothing but leftovers and scrubs in this year's FA crop. (Samuel being one of the few exceptions, but not worth Clements type money).

I actually think that this years CB class sets up very nicely for what we need. I would LOVE to have either Randall Gay, Renaldo Hill, or Joselio Hanson as a #3/#4 CB depending on how the CB we draft early in the draft developes. We don't need a starting level CB, we have two CB's in Henry and Newman who are very good starting CB's when healthy. The only weakness at CB was after the 2 starters (see Reeves).
