After Thanksgiving...they deserve to talk. On Sunday night, the Cowboys have the opportunity to shut them up.

Even during the Jimmy years when we would pound teams on a consistent basis, I can't ever remember guys like Tony Casillas, or Ken Norton, or Chad Hennings or Russell Maryland, or Tony Tolbert or James Washington EVER talking like this.

Sometimes - you just wish you could dress up and play--

...The Eagles defenders do not lack for confidence in their ability to contain Murray in Sunday's game at Lincoln Financial Field.

Here's some evidence of that from a story posted on nj.com:

Eagles defensive end Fletcher Cox: "They can come out and run quarterback power, zone read, they can run whatever they want to run. We won't let them run the ball."
More from Cox: "We've shown it. We showed it when we played them two weeks ago. We don't want to be like any other defense. The conversation in our room is 'don't let their running back rush for over 100 yards. Keep him under 100. We don't care how many carries he gets, we just want to keep him under 100 yards. We won't change nothing, as a defense. We'll be the most physical team on Sunday. We won't let them run the football on us."

Eagles defensive back Nolan Carroll: "We know we're going to be able to stop the run. We have a great front-four. Once we're able to do that, we know they'll start passing the ball. After that it comes down to executing whatever calls are being played, going out there and having fun."
If confidence is the key to stopping Murray, Dallas has a problem. Sunday will tell.

Give credit where credit is due.

They have all the right to talk. They walked the walk last time. Beat us pretty bad. Cox had a hell of a game.

Hope we can step up our game. Else we dont deserve any better.

I hope we can shut them up. The problem in the last game was that we could not make first downs. Most first downs are via passing, so that's on Romo. Also, our defense could not stop them early, putting the pressure on the offense to score every series. So if they're going to bulk up and stop the run, then Romo needs to step up and do his part. Meaning the receivers need to get open, catch the ball, and the coordinators need to give the passing game a chance to be effective. The offense was as big a problem as the defense the last time.

Doesn't read like trash talk to me??? It just reads like confidence and clear descriptions of what they must do and expect to do to get a win Sunday.

Cox made Zack Martin look human in the first meeting.

We need Zachariah to play at the level he has for the whole season.
