Yeah, that was a good series. Not sure which broadcast you're watching, but Mike Mayock kept saying that Williamson had a step on Reeves while running the route and that simply isn't true. Reeves was on him like glue the entire time. He showed some very nice quickness on that play.Bleu Star;1619950 said:Jacque Reeves appears to be playing very well. He just knocked a 30 yard strike to Troy Williamson away for an INC and then on the very next play they just tried a button hook to Williamson and and he batted it away again. 4th down.. punt..

He had his hips turned ready to go deep with the receiver and then as the receiver cuts his route outside, Reeves makes a nice adjustment and is in position to make a play on the ball. It was overthrown, but if it was on target, Reeves would have been in position to either swat at it or go for the INT.
Agreed.MichaelWinicki;1619981 said:I think Reeves matches up better on the larger/slower WR's of the Giants than does Glenn. They certainly won't run away from him and he's at least a couple inches taller than Glenn.
This is actually my first time watching this game. Just from this game I can see why they'd have some confidence in him. And I don't get the big write up Glenn received after this game. He basically just had the one play in the first quarter.Bleu Star;1619985 said:I'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks. I wasn't really centering on Reeves or Jones when I initially watched this game because no one would have expected Glenn to get cut. Now it's interesting watching Reeves and he looks pretty decent thus far.
