Ware and LT

Ware may be the same size and weight as LT, but is he as strong? You can't rely solely on your speed to beat an OT. Sometimes you have to bullrush them or beat them to the inside. And speaking of fair comparisons, did LT have to go up against the 330lb monsters that Ware will be facing?

No, he is not as strong yet, but I bet he will be next year after the off-season program.

We have a lot to get excited about next year....

~ Ware, Spears, Canty, Burnett will all be through one season...then an off-season to get stronger!

~ Fugita will be familiar with the 3-4 and a pre-season, not to mention any other OLB additions.

~ Bledsoe in year two...

Just to name a few....and I expect us to still go 10-6 with two playoff wins this year....hoping!

LT faced an NFL which is alot different than the NFL today. He didn't face 6'7" 340 lb. OT's.

Actually, LT was listed smaller.Listed at 6-3,237.

The roids and coke may have helped as well...

it's only two games in, once DWare develops an inside counter move, he will be a force. He has been holding up pretty well against the run though and showing some improvement I think.

Fujita is a free agent after this year if I'm correct. He's going to have to play really well this year to get a contract. I see Burnett starting at that spot next year.

I thought Fugita had two...I'm probably wrong. BP moved Burnett over to back up Ware as soon as we signed Fujita...if anything Burnett will be starting next to Dat next year on the inside.

No way. He can't possibly be the same size as Al Singleton. We all know small linebackers suck. LT had to be at least 20 lbs heavier.

:) I was going to make a smart arse comment as well, thanks for beating me to it.

Either that or LT can hook him up with some good coke.

Imagine Ware Glover and Williams on coke-I would hate to have to block glover on coke.

You leave "Too Tall" alone. He's intimidating.

I have to love the comparisons Ware's getting to LT. It bodes well for us. Being stuck in Giants territory, I got to watch Taylor every weekend from his rookie year. I HATED the :bastid:. He bent us over SO many times during his career a shotgun at close range would've been too good for him.

BUT, you had to give the man his due if only for the athletic prowess he brought to the game. He was argueably the 'Michael Vick' of his day.

If Demarcus proves to be even worthy of standing in the man's shadow, we will have made a VERY good draft pick indeed. Now imagine about a year from now the progress of he, Spears, Canty, Burnett, and Fujita.

Awesome. Throw in ALL the dbs, plus Glover, Fergy, Ellis, the always dependable Dat, and their backups with a year in this system... man oh man, the possibilities are endless. Screw the Ravens. This D has the potential to equal the 86? Bears. They are going to be dominant for a long, long time.

Just like the good old days. Damn, it's a GOOD time to be a Cowboys fan!!!

Canty is the one who I think will really become a beast. He is huge and very strong.
