Square up and take on that TE instead of recking havoc in the back field, that's why we drafted him. LT didn't listen to Parcells. He went in there and made plays.

I agree. Hopefully this changes next year. The scheme has handcuffed Ware into being a DE run stopper exactly what we didnt get him for. we need to allow him to blitz a lot and often and not always the same exact spot.

Ware needs another year in weight room and getting it sunk in. Ware has the pass rushing potential. But potential comes with a risk.

Ware already has the strength, he just needs more freedom. I have yet to see Merriman bull over an LT , his sacks are more like free reign to run as fast as you can at the QB and hit him. which is what ware should be doing.

Honestly though, we will be lucky to ever get a 10 sack guy with Zimmer as DC. the fact that Ware even has a few sacks in this type of scheme is surprising.

The truth is all good pass rushers have that free reign. Reggie White was the only "pass rusher" that knocked people off the line of scrimmage and sacked the QB. Lawrence Taylor had free reign as does Mike Tyson with the Giants. The only way you can amass those 15 + sack seasons is if you have some freedom.
