The Bronco's are stooped.
Does Colorado have a state income tax?
Maybe. On the other hand, if Ware is healthy next year, Denver has some serious talent in their front 7. The way they score, there are going to be a lot of opportunities to rush the passer and with Wolfe, Miller, Knighton, Irvin, Malik Jackson and Trevathan. All of those guys are good pressure players. They can all rush the passer and there is a lot of speed up front there. Add Ware and it's going to be real hard to double him. I think it's a great move by Denver.
You're right if they win the title... not go 13-3... not make the playoffs, but win the title it's a very good move.
If not, well, it's not going to go down as a very good move.
According to ESPN, Ware will make 13 of his 30 million this year. The Cowboys were going to pay him 12.75 million for this year.
Not sure I would agree with that either. Denver is a very popular team out west. Lots of fans. When they make the playoffs and go to Super Bowls, even when they don't win, they make a lot of money, just like the Cowboys do. From a business perspective, they don't really need to win, although I'm certain that's what they are going for, they simply need to be successful for a sustained period of time. That generates revenue.
Also, Miller is a very important player for them. It's not a bad move on their part to bring in a guy like Ware to try and mentor Miller. Who knows if that really happens or not but playing next to a guy like Ware, that has to rub off, to some extent, IMO.
It's a good move, IMO, for Denver.
No, the Cowboys weren't. Hence the issue and why he was released.
Also remember, he still gets the 8.5 guaranteed from the Cowboys. So he is actually banking 21.5 million this year.
I have a really hard time not seeing this as Ware being greedy. I am all about guys trying to make their money, but this screams "last big payday" to me.

The 12.75 million was going to be his salary if the Cowboys kept him. Sorry I wasn't clear. I was multi tasking at work. The Cowboys didn't think he was worth that much and I agree with the move. We as fans might not like it this year but with the money we save for 2015 it was the right thing to do.
