Tank to Bucs, Cowboys or Skins?

We continues to think that the Buccaneers are a candidate for Tank Johnson's services, given that coach Jon Gruden is facing a win-or-else reality in Tampa. Other teams that have been mentioned as possible destinations include the Cowboys. Some of our readers think that the Commanders would be willing to give Tank a try, due to the team's desperate need for quality defensive linemen. If Tank finds no takers by September, he should offer to sit out all of the 2007 season in exchange for receipt of a free and clear return in 2008. -- Pro Football Talk


But now that it is out there somewhere. I got an e-mail tip from someone close to the Bucs (same person who told me Antonio Bryant was there for a workout) that Tank Johnson was in Tampa a few days ago. The person asked me not to share it at the time. Since another source is reporting it, I'm going to just let you know about.

I still think he fits as a 2 gap DT and not as a NT and the idea of him coming to Dallas was ludicrous from the get go.

He would do good for the RedStinks...they need D line players. Also, him and Sean Taylor could discuss guns and stuff over lunch. Maybe Taylor could even teach him how to ride an ATV? And Portis could take him to a dog fight! Perfect match!

Anyway, if he did wind up with the Stinks, that would help them tons!

I don't understand why Gruden would want him to help him win this season. He would only be playing for 1/2 a season and would be out of football shape when he comes in.

I am into guns and have more guns in my house than he was reported to have had when they raided his place. A totally bogus raid IMO.

However, I do draw the line where he supposedly pulled a gun on someone. He was definitely out of bounds on that one since it was another of those 3:00 am out in public things. Like Johnny Cash said, "Don't take your guns to town son."

LOL You're right I can't hit a target for crap...but the last 10 deer that I pulled the trigger on dropped dead in their tracks with one shot at ranges of 75 to 200 yards. If it breaths it is in trouble
