On my annual trip this year to get my Cowboys bet in to win the super bowl. Was in Reno and all of the casinos had the Cowboys at number 2, behind the Patriots. I got 10 1 odds, others had them at 9 to 1.

Interesting to see after all of the suspensions and drama that the people that make money off of this had is so high on the list. That is the real power rankings.

I trust vegas. I would have Atlanta and New England both ahead of us but seems about right.

Keep in mind that Vegas odds are set based on what people will bet on. They want 50-50 betting.

Vegas odds are made based on public perception. And as the most popular teams in the world they are going to purposefully make the odds better for Dallas. They know that Cowboy fans will over value the team and will bet anyway. It is anything but a power rankings.

Vegas handicappers know what they're talking about. There rankings don't reflect public perception.

They don't make money by making predictions. They make money by taking bets. One of the things that drives odds is betting activity, as in when a lot of Cowboys fans bet on the team the odds go down.

Vegas handicappers know what they're talking about. There rankings don't reflect public perception.

They aren't "rankings", they're odds. Bettor perception absolutely influences them.

That makes no sense, we're not there yet.

Doesn't really matter. What matters is how many fans are betting on the Cowboys.

Anyone who has the Jets higher than 32 is not to be trusted.

Watching the Jaguars' QB situation, I'm shocked they're not 32 right now. Blake Bortles' confidence and mechanics are garbage and Chad Henne is not the solution.

Maybe we can trade them Kellen Moore for a high draft pick.....just kidding..... I think.

They ruined Bortles, IMO. He might have been a decent QB if he was with another team.

The Jags must have some awful coaches. I was watching him a couple weeks ago when they played Tampa Bay and his mechanics weren't just awful, they were dreadful. And he missed wide open receivers all night long. To me, it's sad that a guy with so much talent has just gone to waste.

At the same time, it makes me appreciate Dak that much more.

Players are generally better before or after they play with the Jags, but tend to struggle while they're there.

Almost as bad as the Browns. The fact that the Browns have not had good QB play since they tossed Bernie Kosar (another really smart move) is remarkable.

With the Jags, I am thinking its not all on them. Bortles just does not have it but I think he was not helped by their constant coaching shuffle.

Alot people are saying Atlanta may regress this year, but I suspect you are right. They'll be in the thick of it for sure. That said, the NFCS is going to be harder to win this year. I suspect both the Panthers and the Bucs are going to give the Falcons problems. I'm not really sure about the Saints.
