Let’s see. Guyton improved in his second season, but lost time with injuries. Steele was good in run blocking but struggled at times in pass protection. Thomas, who had never played in an NFL game struggled. Yet Cowboys finished second in the NFL in total offense and passing offense.
Guyton will hit year 3. Steele will be just as good, possibly better. Thomas will improve in his second season on the field. This will be only the second season under Schotty as coach and playcaller and second season for Adams as OC and run game coordinator. It will be Javontae Williams second full season fully recovered fromm injury and, along with Pickens, his second year in the offense.
We are not changing any personnel. Your starting OL is Guyton—Smith—Beebe—Booker—Steele, with Thomas as the Swing tackle and Hoffman as the main interior backup. This is no time to call for changes when the offense is elite and should be improved and more consistent. You can’t have pro bowlers at every position.
As long as the interior OL is solid, Dak and Javontae can navigate the occasional disruption outside.
