Was last night's game the worst possible result?

Seattle has decided it's time to start playing football again. Glad we faced them earlier.

You have no shame? They're playing the same and are the same team as when we whipped them at their place. They got several breaks and still lost.
We outplayed them in almost every facet.
Face it. We're pretty damn good.

Just win out and we get the 2nd seed. Seattle will beat Arizona and win that division, I have no doubt about that.

It's not ugly. It's pathetic on a terribly embarrassing way.

Embarrassing because they claim my team as theirs.

I don't know who this Carharris guy is but we need him starting threads on gameday because he's getting me fired up and it's not even the weekend yet.

Arizona wins to go 11-3, but loses their QB do that Seattle has a cakewalk the next week... Again, looks like we'll have to win out.

I don't think we'll have to win out, but if we don't we'll definitely need some things to fall into place. Arizona winning or losing last night's game wasn't really one of them.

It would be in our best interest for Seattle to lose one or two of its games, if we lose one or two of ours since we hold the tiebreaker over the Seahawks (unless another team also finishes with the same record, which is screwing us up right now.) They could fall to San Fran and Arizona (don't count out that defense).

So it also would be in our best interest for Detroit to finish with a better or worse record than Seattle. I would expect the Lions to lose in Green Bay, but I'm not sure if the Vikings or Bears will beat them.

Those are our main opposition to a wild-card spot, with San Francisco being the only team with any kind of shot of creeping back in.

Our best bet, of course, is winning out, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility that Seattle and Detroit could each lose more than once ... as could we.

Yeah, and you know what? Good for them. That team has suffered the most ridiculous amount of injuries to key players that I've ever seen and they have the best record in the NFC. They don't make excuses, they just go out there and find ways to win. Yes, it hurts the Cowboys chances to make the playoffs but I don't care. If there was ever a team that deserves some good fortune, it's that team. No, if the Cowboys don't make the playoffs, it isn't because Arizona won, it's because we lost.

in a queasy way I have to agree

This was a HORRIBLE result last night.

It was OK that Arizona won because we'd like them to win the division. But with Stanton going down, it looks like they'll finish 11-5 now, which secures the 5th spot as a wildcard. Somehow we need the Cardinals to beat Seattle or have the the Seahawks lose out.

Dallas has to either go 3-0 now or have Philly or Detroit collapse.

Finishing 11-5 and missing the playoffs looks very possible for the Cowboys.

The only game in the entire NFL that matters this week is the one in Philly. We win we are in good shape. We lose, we just arent good enough to do anything in the playoffs so forget AZ and everybody else. All that matters is what we do Sunday night. If we get beat by a Mark Sanchez led team twice in 3 weeks we dont deserve to be in the post season. If we win Sunday, then we can go win the next 2 and be in good shape.

They might be a better team now -- impossible to tell, really. But the way we were playing back then, we could have taken on any team. Between then and now, a lot has happened obviously, but primarily our defense has taken a huge step back. It was apparent during the first half of the season that the defense was playing above its talent level. Now it's playing right about where you'd think it should based on talent level.

What I hate is that, as bad as their season has been, the Commanders fans will have the satisfaction of knowing they knocked Dallas out of the playoffs in Dallas with Colt McCoy.

This Cardinals team is the worst 11-3 team I've ever seen. They won a last night without even being able to score a TD.
That's nothing. The 2000 Ravens went 5 games in a row without scoring a TD. They won 2 of them and went on to win the Super Bowl.

Instead of excuses, they keep winning.
Hey, you're right, and that's what matters. Maybe that's a testament to how good the team actually is because we know what the result would be if we didn't score a TD. lol

ultimately i want the Cardinals to finish with the 2nd seed so if we finish with the 3rd seed we face them in the 2nd round instead of the Packers

This. 1000x this. I got nothing but respect for that AZ team. I think they lose to SEA, but it wouldn't shock me to see them gut another one out with their QB3 at home. Even so, you don't back into 11-3.
