Was last night's game the worst possible result?

This. 1000x this. I got nothing but respect for that AZ team. I think they lose to SEA, but it wouldn't shock me to see them gut another one out with their QB3 at home. Even so, you don't back into 11-3.

Defense wins in the post-season unless your team has Peyton. I would not be surprised if Arizona wins a couple there.

It's not ugly. It's pathetic on a terribly embarrassing way.

Embarrassing because they claim my team as theirs.

It'd be nice if we had a button we could push to make the fans we don't like not be fans anymore. As long as we get to keep the button.

Anyway. Our win early in the year against the Superbowl champs at home where they'd only lost one game in three years or whatever it was was a huge win against a healthy team playing with confidence. IIRC, it was Carroll (it might have been one of their players) who came up to Garrett after that game to say 'Good game, we'll see you in January.'

I hate to see that diminished in hind sight for no other reason than for emotional insulation or whatever's going on there.

It doesn't matter, though. We've got a chance this weekend to do almost the same thing we did then when we go to PHI. Let's see if the Cowboys are still capable of playing at that level.

Arizona has swept the Rams. Seattle lost to the Rams. Seattle is not a good team outside of their home stadium.

You guys act like Arizona is just going to concede the West to these punks.

Did you not see what Seattle did to Philly in Philly? They are a good team home and on the road. AZ has no QB.

Right? It's all about passer rating differential. It really helps if you're really hard to pass against. Those blitzes were getting home last night.

Cowboys fans, of all fans here recently, should know the flip side of that argument. We've been easy to pass against for years now, and still keep looking for reasons other than the obvious to blame the losses on.

No, it wasn't the worst result.
St. Louis winning would have been better for sure but the Cards losing a legit QB for a journeyman is big.
That guy couldn't get a pass within 5 foot of a receiver all night.
If the Rams weren't also on QB3 they'd have won.

Dallas would now be favored over Arizona even in Arizona with Lindlay at QB.
So softening up Arizona is not all bad.

Arizona beating Seattle now would be one of the biggest surprises of the season.
The Seahawks defense might outscore Arizona next week.

The other thing to note is Dallas would prefer Arizona win the division and Seattle be the only other 11-5 wild card contestant.

But right now Dallas just needs to focus on wins.
A very tough Philly team in a must win.
Then a solid team and match up nightmare in the Colts before playing one of the most dysfunctional teams in NFL history ... that beat us with an injured QB weeks ago in the only life they've shown all year.

Last nights game was text book how to win in the playoffs tough defense, ability to run the ball, and win the turnover battle.

Yeah, and you know what? Good for them. That team has suffered the most ridiculous amount of injuries to key players that I've ever seen and they have the best record in the NFC. They don't make excuses, they just go out there and find ways to win. Yes, it hurts the Cowboys chances to make the playoffs but I don't care. If there was ever a team that deserves some good fortune, it's that team. No, if the Cowboys don't make the playoffs, it isn't because Arizona won, it's because we lost.[/quote]

:clap::clap::clap:
I have always hated needing help to get in the playoffs. Just means your team isn't there yet.

Huh? Arizona is all smoke and mirrors. They are the 2014 version of what the Chiefs were last year. They will bow out of the playoffs their first game.

You honestly think Seattle will lose to a 3rd string QB? They aren't us....

I was in a good mood this morning, until I read that. Merry frickin' Christmas to you, too, jterrell.

I think if the boys don't win out there will be no playoffs if romo and this team are going to go to the playoffs someday you got to be able to win bad match ups or whatever, You just have to figure out a way to win

It's now been two weeks since this board loudly proclaimed the Cardinals would lose out and all they have done is win.

Seattle has decided it's time to start playing football again. Glad we faced them earlier.

Right because if we faced them now we could never win... Wait that's what most of us said before the game earlier this year too

We won... When will they ever get actual credit for winning and pretty convincingly too ...

That's right all wins are flukes ... All losses expected

Sorry couldn't resist

Nobody has gone into the desert this season and emerged victorious.

And? It took a bad call from to refs for Arizona to win last week. They are all smoke and mirrors and will be one and done in the playoffs. Seattle is 100% winning the NFC West. The only thing to like about Arizona is the defense. Guess what, Seattle has a better D and they have a legit NFL QB

You forget - Todd Bowles is a defensive mastermind.

You must not be aware they are now being led by the back up to the back up QB... Stanton is out. Seattle will win in AZ.

Actually it is the backup to the backup to the backup. Lindley was their fourth string a few weeks ago. Just looks like Arians does not trust Logan Thomas.

All in all though, hats off to them. They don't feel sorry for themselves, they don't accept the injury excuse and just keep winning.

Their defense has really been impressive even without Dockett and Washington. Simply amazing job by Bowles.
