:) Just thought I'd ask because everyone is saying that beating New Orleans means nothing if we lose to Washington next week. But we won a big game when we beat the Saints, right?

It was one of the biggest regular season wins in franchise history, no doubt about that.

What people are saying with regards to the Washington game is that if we go up there and lose, playoff wise the Saints game really doesnt mean much. In other words, we could have lost 70-0 and beat the Skins and be in the same boat as beating the Saints and losing to the Skins.

I dont think anybody is down playing the accomplishment itself, New Orleans probably goes 15-1 and we denied them history. However, in terms of playoffs, if we lose to Washington the Saints win really didnt mean much.

i think it's funny that we "shocked" the saints.

come on, it's the freaking saints.

what's shocking is that anyone would believe in that cursed franchise

The Saints are the big gorilla and we're the little engine that could.

Never thought I'd live to see the day.

Baffling, isn't it?

If we dont win a playoff game, the unflattering labels on Romo, Wade, and the team in general will remain.

Hell, even if we win a playoff game then lose in the divisional round, the hating won't stop. "Romo hasn't done anything, he hasn't even gotten the Cowboys to a Conference Championship game!" would be the mantra heading into the 2010 season.

Embrace the hatred...

Yeah embrace it because even if the Cowboys win the Super Bowl, they'll say "But The Triplets were better," blah, blah, blah.

It was a huge game. But I know why you're asking, and why you're trying to have some fun with it, cause we've all seen it before when it comes to big game, must wins, with Romo and the Cowboys. They never get credit for them afterwards because "Oh well it really wasn't that big of a game. Now this next one that's a big game."

*Shrugs* It's how it goes sometimes.

It was huge. I'm dissapointed that we didn't display the same agrressiveness and urgency vs. the giants and chargers but getting this win could be better for our confidence. Perhaps we had to learn from those losses to have a shot against the Saints. This should be a springboard for us.

It was a very big game in the face of doubt. I do agree the importance of the win means little if we do not go out and build off this win.

I even saw some of that on ESPN. They were talking Sunday morning that it was not that big of a surprise because the Saints were squeaking out a lot of wins here lately anyway.

I thought it was funny.

I also thought it was funny how they were saying that the NO receiver was wide open in the endzone when he dropped that pass at his ankles. The fact of the matter was that Jenkins had him covered like a blanket and the only reason they has a chance was because Brees threw up a floater hoping his guy would see it first which is what happened but that is a play that would beat any corner playing man to man across the field.

They also said that the guy had Jenkins beat for a TD on the one he intercepted and the fact of the matter is that Jenkins had that guy covered very well too!

Here's the analysis. Romo won. Romo doesn't win games. Ergo, not a big game.

It's just another meaningless win in December distracting us from all the big time games Romo has lost, such as NYG, SD, etc.

That said, if we do not get into the playoffs and win a playoff game, it won't be a successful season. Romo's playing the best football of his life and the last two games weren't on him anyway.

Jenkins was brilliant, no doubt. And the WE DAT towel? Well, that's the swagger we've been missing right there.

What's not true? A lot of guys here were saying the same thing and he was wide open when he dropped the pass.
