Washington Commanders moaning and groaning this morning

Read some of the Commander articles about their huge blowout loss to the Pats. Just imagine, we don't have to put up with any of their trolls coming on this or any other Cowboy forum talking about how great they were in their victory over the Pats or even how well they played the Pats even in their defeat. Instead they face the embarrassment of losing 52-7 with their only TD coming 3 mins before end of game.

After 1-2 Commander fans on ExtremeSkin tried mitigate the loss by saying Pats beat all teams they've played liked that, another Commander actually comment was wrong. The Cowboys took the lead over the Pats in the 3rd quarter 24-21 & were only team to to give them a real game unlike.

Of course there's the usual whinning that the Pats ran up the score but frankly that doesn't fly for me in this game and not in ours either. Also of course that great HOF character guy (goes by name of Joe Gibbs) has filed a claim listing 42 infractions committed but not penalized by the refs which he says were difference in the game. I wouldn't be surprised if at the top of list Gibbs protested that Brady shouldn't be allowed to play cause he's too good and that unfair since Campbell essentially a rookie.

Anyway, at least for 1-2 days the Commander fans forced to face reality. They aren't God's gift to the NFL and the greatest team on turf. Giving their unbelieavable homerism which defies any kind of logic, I'm sure they will recover before next game and regain their view that they are the greatest team in the NFL and want to play the Pats in the SB.

Don't get me wrong. I hate the Pats and it's not printable what I think of Belicheat. But I hate the Skins more and since not many of the teams I wanted to win did so, Pats victory is best thing that happened on the football field this weekend except for the Colts win.

Do you happen to have a link to the Gibbs info? I'd love to read that one!

I bet if he found 42 on the Pats...there were at least 30 on the Commanders. As bad as officials usually are, they are consistent.

  • Nothing is wrong with this team. Everything we do is friggin PERFECT.
  • I'm Blaming Greg Williams
  • The Intervention
  • The Restoration Just Isn't Working
  • *** Is Todd Wade Doing Out There?
  • Develop a WR Rotation!
  • Al Saunders Hoodwinked Us!
  • Our Offense is killing our Defense (101 tackles!)
  • Why Skins Cannot Dominate.
  • Sideline communication breakdown?
  • The most classless organization in sports
  • An entire room at work making fun of the Commanders...the "can't escape" thread
  • The official pissin and moaning thread ( MEGA MERGED)
  • Creative ways to describe today's game
  • 3 and out.
  • Fork in the road for the SKINS....

Thats enough for now! :laugh2: :skins:  :yourock:

My only beef is that the Pats most certainly did run up the score. It was a textbook case. All of a sudden it's perfectly okay, apparently, for the Precious Pats to run up the score because, we are told ceaselessly around here, that running up the score is the only way to play the game. When did this get decided? Are we now taking ethical standards in whole from the likes of Bill Bellicek?

Running up the score is classless and the Patriots are doing it on a weekly basis. Period.

no excuses here- that was an ayce beatin. once rogers went down and the pats were pounding the ball on the ground, i had a feeling the game plan was not going to work.

and thats just the D. :(

dont even know where to begin with that O.

i will say this- if i could go back a few weeks, i'd pray for the boys to lay a beatin on the pats. between belichick going for it on 4th with a 38 -0 lead (and this coming from a person who thinks you shouldnt complain- just stop them), and brady around that same time throwing a freakin hissy fit when his center false started, i'm with you when you say you cant stand the pats.

You still would have lost. The Patriots were just a better team.

Nice post, and way to take your lumps.

But do you really think Carlos Rogers would have made a difference?

no- i should explain.

i thought the skins, being ranked #1 in yards per play and opposing qb ranking, would be able to at least slow down brady and company. when i saw smoot was out, then rogers went down- and remembering what happened to the skins D last year when a couple of DB's got dinged- i knew it was going to be a struggle.

turns out it didnt matter, as the pats pounded the ball in the ground about as well as they threw it.

Can't say I didn't see this coming, but anyone who says they didn't run up the score is just taking joy in the Redstinks getting pounded. Serious 4th and 1 up 38-0 and you go for it. LOL, people can spin that any freaking way they want but that's rubbing it in someones face for no reason. Their offense hadn't really done anything all day so it wasn't like they were coming back.

Well, we like to think if Anthony Henry is healthy, we might have slowed them down a little. It's probably the same for Skins fans. There is no worse team in the NFL right now to lose a corner against.

Check out this quote from a legend by the name of elkabong82. I think he spent too much time on the bong:

"Unlike every other team they faced, the Pats didn't make us look like a high school football team (I know it's hard to believe from the final score) as they weren't going with a simplistic gameplan of hurl the ball deep. The Pats killed us underneath, and had to earn every yard."

The Patriots were without key players entering the game and lost a couple of good ones during the game.

We lost, let's focus on the Eagles.

Let me preface my comments by saying that it could not have happened to a better franchise, well maybe Philly.

However running up the score will come back and bite the patricheats. It is a cheap shot, and no player likes a cheap shot. Do you remember when Jim McMahon was a victim of a cheap shot; this was largely the product on the Bears embarrassing teams even when the game was in hand. If the patricheats continue on this course look for some one to intentionally try to hurt Brady. This might land the perpetrator an 8 game suspension but defensively the entire league will quietly cheer, especially the teams who were on the receiving end.

Besides the not so obvious, leaving in your perennial pro bowl QB in games that late is foolish and arrogant and Belicheat better tread carefully.
