Here is the irony...they claim we stink....yet they point to beating us in the last week of the season as a reason they are (sorry were) Super Bowl bound! So let me get this straight, your defeat of a team that sucks gave you confidence that you could beat anybody? That is just laughable!
It is one thing for fans and internet geeks to be obsessed with us..but when PLAYERS make comments in PUBLIC....when big time MEDIA personalities (Wilbon) write articles...it has gone overboard at that point. And they are not slick either...and I hope our coaches make sure the players...they WANT to be in our heads because we are ALWAYS in their heads. But we have no reason to worry about a team that makes a push at the end of the season every other year when teams are either out and preparing for the draft or resting guys/hiding game plans for the big dance...
They had ZERO points going into the 4th quarter of a playoff game (yeah, that sounds like a team on a roll). I guess that is part of the evidence they point to as proof that they were headed for Dallas!
But we do not have to worry about missing our CHANCE to play them...if you have been watching closely...we DO NOT play the Commanders with the same intensity that we play the Giants or Eagles. They want to be our rival....they play us like their lives depend on it..but we simply do not show the same focus and intensity when playing them. But that is going to need to change....the mouth on a team that is average just does not shut up. And after we make our run this year. I want to make sure starting next year we give them what they are so used to getting from us...it used to be like a drug for them..we would show up...they would wet their pants from excitement...we would win...their fans would beat each other up. Rinse, repeat! Deep down that is what they crave and we need to be kind enough to feed their habit again.
Bring on the Bucs/Giants...we will deal with the Pinkskins next year and for the next decade. Before we lose interest in beating them again!!!
