Before anyone gets exercised about "Why do people care what ESPN says!!!", don't bother, because I don't. I don't even watch ESPN anymore. This is just for fun.

But watch out for a pretty negative report from him on Romo tonight. Heard Easy Ed on the Irvin show at lunch complaining about Romo not speaking to the media today. He said he thinks Romo, as QB of America's Team, owes it to the media to speak during the week. He also said he has always told players that they don't have to speak if they don't want to, but if they don't, then he gets to give his opinion on the matter instead of fans hearing it directly from the player himself.

He then went on to say that Romo is at a crossroads in his career where he has to decide if he wants to be a Marino-like stat machine who never wins anything or a Troy Aikman-like winner who gets lesser stats but has team success.

Just calling it ahead of time. :D

Ed Werders mustache will kill you

It's killed before and it will kill again.

It's previous victim? Ed Werder's love-life.

Noone is safe.

Give me Dan Marino on this team anyday. Marino not winning any Super Bowls certainly had NOTHING to do with him but instead his team... If Werder thinks differently he is even dumber than I thought he was......

Ed Werder must love these false dilemmas. Why would he have to make a choice? It's not as if quarterbacks with gaudy stats have never won championships.

Steve Young, Kurt Warner ,Peyton Manning Brett Favre jump to mind immediately.

(cue the "How dare you compare these all time greats with Romo crowd)

How low is Werder's IQ?

So, Dan Marino at some point decided, "ya know what ... I want to be a stat guy. I don't care about Super Bowls ... I just want to rack up big numbers."

And Troy said, "ya know, I want to win Super Bowls."

It's their surroundings ... the circumstances they were in. Marino and Aikman didn't call the plays. Marino had verticle receiving threats and very little behind him in the backfield. Troy had a big offensive line and Emmitt.

Werder should be hung from Jerry's video board by his sack.

:laugh2:

Then the NFL could invite a few punters so that Werder can give an upclose, first-hand account of how easy it is for punts to hit the videoboard.

Yea as if Marino only wanted to put up stats and not win a Super Bowl lol. The best quarterbacks don't win Super Bowls. The best TEAMS. Dolphins never had the best team and only got into the playoffs when they did because of Marino.

Too many people worry about what the media says. Their job in reality is to get people to tune in so advertisers give them revenue. They will do this however they can, and the Cowboys always get ratings, which equals revenue. Worry about what your own eyes tell you.

whats funny is Ed Werder is what caused the TO hate here. Its funny, people may not have liked TO b/c of his past, but he decent to good in dallas, but when Werder made him out to have a problem with the beloved Witten, TO was a marked hated man.

Now dont get me wrong, I think witten was the only key component of the team last year that had nothing to do with its failure, but I think TO was right under him.

Injuries, backup qb, Romo, Garrett, Jerry, Phillips>TO/Witten

Werder embellished a story cause TO wouldnt talk to him.

Dan Marino never, ever wanted to commit to a running game. The argument is he never had a running game. How can anyone know - he never gave it a chance. Dan, like Favre, are slingers. They WANT to throw... the DONT WANT to hand off.

Fins not winning SB had everything to do with Marino. Come on now........
