In light of our recent conversation about Roy vs Troy...
I was just reminding those who said they haven't seen much of Polamalu to pay attention today.

Maybe he won't show up at all. But if he does, it will be something exciting and remarkable.

The draft is that way. Sometimes you just get lucky, and the Steelgirls really did get lucky with this guy. BTW, I think playing safety is basically INSTINCTS.

read what Cobra said in my sig. That will tell you everything about what Roys problem is.

As for Palamalu. One of the best in the game. Maybe the best right now.

I don't really need statistical anomaly to figure this out. I see Troy Polamalu perform and he brings an element, particularly in coverage, that I really appreciate.

No disrespect to Roy. I just love the way he performs for the Steelers. He impacts games.

Hate to say it but...

you know.
Yeah, you can hit like a freight train, but if you have no instincts of where to be, you're done as a safety.

Everyweek he does something exciting ... or incredibly stupid. He would drive me nuts with the stupid penalties he takes.

You know what I keep seeing? Troy P. gets to play in the box instead of being put 25 yards deep in coverage consistently. I have a hard time blaming Roy.

This doesn't really have anything to do with Roy Williams, as far as I'm concerned. This kid is just a wonderful player. That's all.

What a joke! Interesting to see if that ref. is working next year.

I think he is a great safety, but Roy could do just as well in that defense maybe even better. The Steelers put way more pressure on the qb than the Dallas defense. Hopefully in their second year of the 3-4 that will change. (Pressure on the qb makes everyone better on defense)

I agree. Roy is a good, smart kid who seems like he works his butt off. I think the best is ahead for him. I'd LOVE to see a competent free safety beside him someday soon.

I don't recall anyone saying Polamalu sucked.

Roy is a better safety. How Polamalu did today (I didn't even watch the game) is irrelevant.

Troy is 5'11" amd 212 pounds.

That makes him about 30 pounds and an inch or two less than Sean Taylor or Roy Williams.

Edgerrin James carried him 5 yards earlier.

I like Troy but he is a different type playmaker than Sean/Roy.

RW/Sean is like Lavar in that when they hit you you know you have been hit.

One can not totally discount the mental effect that has on opposing players.
