and a few things really hit me. We are going to really miss Keyshawn. That guy was not afraid to go accross the middle, and he held onto everything that was thrown his way. His down field blocking was incredible, always springing the RB for extra yards. I am going to miss this guy.

Greg Ellis is a brutal force. He is a leader on this team and needs to continue to be so. I hope his pouting is not for the detriment of the team...

I am looking forward to the season...

TO is bigger, and not afraid to go over the middle, Crayton catches everything his way, and is not afraid to go over the middle, Craytona nd tO both can block, and with the additions of Fasno, and improved Witten, i really dont think we'll miss Keyshawn

Parcells is already challenging TO to be better than 'the guy he replaced.' Keyshawn was a good player who tried to excel in all phases of his game (like blocking) We'll see what happens.

T.O. can block but does not put much effort into it on game day. That is one aspect of Keyshawn's game that will be missed.

Parcells was talking about Jerry Rice, not Keyshawn.

That was not the impression, I got. Didn't sound like he was talking about the guy in San Fran, but the guy in Dallas.

Also DK,
Key is actually bigger than TO by an inch if it makes that much of a difference. Yes his skillset can be replaced. But I think we'll miss the "heart" Key displayed on game day. I was one of the few who didn't have to be won over by Key when he got here. I liked him from day one and I think we'll miss the intangibles that he brought with his game.

I think Keyshawn's hit on Michael Lewis was the emotional turning point of that second game. He made so many plays last year he will be greatly missed. I think that Owens and Witten will more than make up the difference, but Key's contributions can't be underestimated.

No Keyshawn?

I love Key and what he brought to the team -- but we replace him with one of the best WRs in the game .

i agree, but the way he put it, it was like we didnt have someone who could over the middle, or block. Key brought a fire to the game, but he wanted more money, and we'll we wwanted a better WR.

I agree TO is good, however is he going to block downfield? Is he going over the middle when the team is down 14 points with 4 mins left in the game? I know TO's run after the catch is good, however I saw Keyshawn many times throw his body into the mix to get a ball.

Owens is so much better than Keyshawn it's not even funny.

To compare the two is an insult to Owens. Really.

We will miss the little things that Johnson did. And he was very much a clutch player. But he was one of the players who Coach Parcells always mentioned could never get consistent separation.

But for every block, nine yard catch that moved the chains and inches he clawed for, Owens can make one play that swings the momentum in the course of a game.

It is a tradeoff I would take every day of the week. It is too bad he couldn't stay aboard, but we needed a big play threat.

Otherwise, we would be stuck in the same rut and would have to depend on Glenn to do that, which I think is a bit much to ask for two years in a row.

I recently saw a show on TV that showed the 10 best overtime finishes.

One of them was Garrison Hearst going 80 yds in OT to win the game for SF, ... TO was blocking 2 guys the final 38 yds to clear the way for GH.

He is not afraid to block.

KJ was good, good enough to be missed, but I don't think we will be sitting watching TO, .. all the while wishing we had KJ instead.

I just don't think that is going to happen.
