He's still better than Weeden and Cassel. At least he moved the ball and put up some points.
He is a turnover machine....we were playing aganst backups vs WAS and they were winning 24-0 before we blinked.....no thanks.....

It's a matter of degree. We can't survive Romo going down for several games, true, but let's say his back keeps him out a game or two or three... not at all unlikely... heck, the division often is decided on that many games, so just have to take seriously identifying someone who has a decent chance of driving the bus well enough to win for that many games.
Rams seemingly would have to be open to offers, as reported pre-draft. Do we hold out for Foles' release, or are we willing to part with a draft pick? If a draft pick, how high?... If Jerry calls, I might tell him he can part with a 5th w/o facing my wrath.
For Foles I might go as high as a fourth...having said that, I doubt they make a move and I doubt the rams will either.
Man, I just don't get what anybody sees in Foles.
Garrett falls in love with guys that reminds him of himself. we definitely could do way better but like it's been said a million times, any team can kiss their season goodbye if their star qb goes down.

If we bring in a vet, it'll be somebody we can legitimately cut if he can't beat out Moore. I think we were looking at that with Matt Moore in FA, and he walked and signed an inexpensive deal right after our visit. It seemed we had interest in McCoy early on, too, and he didn't get a huge deal to stay in WAS.
Whatever we're offering, it can't be much. And it's definitely not going to come with a draft pick attached.

This is what we're going to be doing when Romo retires. It's the post Aikman years all over again if they don't address the QB situation.
Any back-up is a back-up for a reason. There are flaws. But give me someone who has been there, who has enjoyed some success, and who... as opposed to Moore... won't have to have a career day to tally a W...
Truthfully, I watched Moore and he's constantly throwing off his heels and doesn't have the plus arm necessary to get away with it. He knows where to go with the ball in this offense... that's his calling card... but there is a point where physical traits unavoidably put a cap on what a player can do. He is not a legit #2, imho.
