Sad, but made up. Tony consistently sings the praises of his coaches, and he consistently says he's going to play several more years.

The players all sung the praises of Wade until the day he was fired, that is just what players do. NFL players, even those on scrub teams like the Browns and Titans, all say the same thing about supporting their coaches. None come out and say coach so and so needs to be fired and needs to be fired like yesterday. That just doesn't happen in the NFL.

And playing several more seasons has nothing to do with the quality of the coaches or the roster either. I think Romo knows this team is not on the same level of the Panthers and Broncos just on a pure talent evaluation. I mean, the Broncos actually won games when Manning was out and despite John Fox taking the Broncos to the SB just 2 seasons ago, he was shown the door by Elway for not getting it done. Kubiac is going to the SB in his first year on the job.

So the million dollar question is if Romo thinks this roster and coaching staff is good enough for him to win a SB in the next 2 seasons or so, since that is the most likely time table he has if the team drafts a QB with the 4th overall pick. Romo obviously is not going to say anything publicly so we are left to speculate either way.

A lot of our fans straight-up suck. And a lot of them are great. I don't imagine Tony sees them as a monolith any more than you or I do.

I can't speak for everybody, but I've enjoyed every season but this one in recent memory quite a bit, too. This season just sucked, though. There was nothing enjoyable about it from week 2, on.

I give our fans more credit than that Idgit, I think at this point all the fans are pretty dedicated the team. After 20 years of winning jack, only the die hards are left and they all want the team to win, the big question is how.

Some think Garrett is an idiot and the team will not win anything until he is gone, some think Jerry is senile and the team will not win anything until he hires a GM, some think Romo is not a championship caliber QB (although I imagine this group has decreased significantly after this season), and some think our players are just not good enough, especially at postions like safety.

The bottom line is that all the fans want the team to win, but they may disagree with how to accomplish that goal. The issue you run into is that one group of fans that have different opinions than another group of fans are demonized or called names like "fake fans" or "these fans suck", ect. For example, the pro-Garrett and anti-Garrett groups or the "lose for picks" vs the "that's loser mentality" groups.

You're going to believe what you want to believe. But Tony and Garrett are close. It's some of the fans who don't like him. The organization obviously has his back.

When we started out 2-0, did anybody actually think we'd end up 4-12?

I am still in a state of shock that we went 1-11 without Romo.

To lose 11/12 games with 3 backup QBs is a fireable offense in the NFL..............and yet not 1 single coach on this entire staff has been fired (and as I am typing this I am reading a headline on my computer screen about the Pats firing their o-line coach today since Brady got hit too much against the Broncos).

And yet status quo at Valley Ranch.

Do you really believe that? An honest question.

Garrett and Demarco were close also, going to basketball games together and all................but the NFL is still a business.

And even though the organization may have Romo's back, you can better well believe that if there is a QB sitting there at pick 4 they will not hesitate one second from drafting him. And a QB at pick 4 is not going to be Romo's backup very long, its going to be his replacement. The only issue is how long.

Lol, tony is not going to bad mouth a coach, let alone a coach who is still in place. You know that as well as I do yet you constantly bring up these things. Can you show me quotes from tony saying that Wade was a bad coach before he was fired? Maybe we should have kept Wade if that is the criteria.

Unfortunately par for the course for you

It's a large fan base. I hardly think it's a stretch to say many of our fans suck. That's not necessarily aimed at anybody on the site, and it's definitely not aimed at anybody just for being negative or frustrated. But our fans are entitled, and some turn on players at the drop of a hat. That's a toxic combination in my book, and you can hear it in the players commentary that a lot of them agree.

Honestly, I think as a whole our fans are pretty middling. They get high points for quantity, but they're not particularly avid, and they're not particularly supportive. And too many have adopted an attitude that they're embarrassed to be Cowboys fans instead of just enjoying what they've got. I know my definition is not everybody's, but I go to pains to distance myself from some of the perceptions of our fans that are out there.

Perhaps he thought Wade was a good coach, I don't remember. But if you want to know, you can always look it up your own self.

Or, you can pretend Tony's lying, and that every other sign of his friendship with Jason is a charade. It's up to you.

Can you imagine what the fanbase would have been like if we just finished a season in which we are picking 4th in the draft and he is all light hearted, up beat, and making jokes!?

We'd have a Romo hate zone

And yet, you counter with replies like these. Either make an argument, or don't. It doesn't change the fact that Garrett and Tony Romo are close. Even if you don't want to accept it.

Every season has been a disappointment bro, we have 2 playoff wins in the past 21 seasons.........I just don't remember Romo ever being this down, even after 4 consecutive non-playoff seasons from 2010-2013.

This season beat me down emotionally and I'm a fan! I can't imagine how a guys like Romo and Dez are feeling/felt.

I could not get the videos there, but I can click on audio DL and get the audio.
So he seemed just realistic to me, not down.

He said there were things wrong other than the injuries, and that they did not win enough games when he was out.
And that they didnt play good even in games he played, so they need to be honest in evaluating all that.

He said he thought they could be better than 2014 in 2016, so that was upbeat, but unrealistic, since they havent
figured out the problems yet.

Tony will be ready to go this fall, I know that much, what he has to work with I dont know, and neither does he.
