ok im watching 2005 steelers, they had just lost 3 games, played at critical time about 1:57 to 2:01 pm

cowher asked every player to grade themselves positive or negative on bengals game, held them accountable. For each player to look at themselves, then let cowher see their grade and talk about it etc.

when they came into the locker room, their was a board sign that said, and had only one game at a time on board,

and cowher made players accoutable for their play and to themselves

then jerry porter says i dont care, in this type of game, you should have no friends on the other team, i have to beat you down and tell you that i will, so i have no friends on the other team

should the cowboys players, coaches and wade have this type of thought, etc?

your thoughts

maybe DC or theebs can find the podcast and post it for us to see and think about, etc.

Wade is not Cowher

Wonder why Cowher didn't do that in 2006?

I like the tactic but ultimately guys just have be professional and get ready to play because gimmicks work exactly once.

You are relentless with this Wade hate.

I say this about wade, he still can do it, but time is running out, he needs to fix things now, not wait. He can run the table so to speak and get into the playoffs, then anything can happen.

You dont want to change coaches now or even think that.

Let the chips fall where they may. We will know after these 4 games where we stand and if we go further.

Now is the time to root for the cowboys. I still think wade is a very good defensive coordinator. Head Coach is another matter, and some of you know how i feel about that. But he can win, but he has to recognize problems, fix them before they grown and hold players accountable. This everything is ok and dont worry guys, stinks.

It can be done, but focus, intensity, urgency is needed from the players, the coaches, the fans, the media and jerry jones.

Time is running out, you have to stand up and be accountabe now, No More Excuses!

Give 110 percent like bettis told the players in front of the coaches!

Brooking said Wade does. We are not there we don't see this. You were watching a show about the 2005 steelers so you got to see what was taking place, but do not know what is taking place with Wade and this team. Trying to give an ansewer when you don't have all the facts is a bit hard to do.

!

I don't think some of you get it. At practice and in the locker room, it sounds like Wade is (and has been all season) preaching accountabiltiy and no excuses on a daily basis. He just does not like throwing players under the bus in front of the media. He has always been this way. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but that's how he deals with the media. It is also why the players like him...not because he's some sort of cream puff (hard for an all-time record setting college linebacker to be a wimp, anyway) but because he treats his guys like men and not a piece of meat.

No, I just meant when the steelers season was about over after 3 straight losses, cowher looked at himself, then he had the players be accountable to themselves and he called them on it. He just didnt say everything is ok, dont worry, he made them answer for their poor play against the bengals in the first game they played that year.

Please tell all of us which guys are not accountable.

All those types of guys are gone. This kind of thing is not the problem.

True, but when wade keeps saying things are ok, dont worry and a player texts back after bus ride back from giants game loss, SOS, (same old stuff) then i question what wade is saying on the field and in the locker room etc.

There are many differences here. I wont go into the obvious ones.

The Stealers went on a great end of season run, playoff run but if not for referee's they lose that SB.

Has Barber been held accountable for his fumble in giant game, remember barber refused to talk to media after loss, did spencer or brooking were held accountable after the blown coverage on jacobs for the long TD, did the special teams players that didnt tackle the punt returner for a td, were they held accoutable, especially the player that left his feet to tackle, you never leave your feet to make a tackle. Even I know that.

the whole past month, we have seen the problems with the kicker, even wade said he had confidence and everything was ok,but it took tony romo to come to special teams coach and tell him afrer the game, i am willing to hold for field goal attempts, was mcbrair held accountable along with folk for all of those misses?

He evidently is not saying that to players in the locker room according to now many other players who have openly commented on this. You talk about a player text that is rumor and other than here no one is saying anything to confirm the legitimacy of this so called text

Terrence Newman for one. First guy I have ever seen shove his coach in over 30 years of watching football. Nothing was done to him because of the lunatics running the asylum atmosphere promoted by Jerry Jones. He was not held accountable for his actions because he would have been suspended if he were held accountable.

Joe, did you hear barber talk after all the big plays he has made over the last 4 years? Have you heard barber?

No you havent. He doesnt talk period.

Dont think for a second that barber hasnt worked extra hard and let the guys know that he has made two big mistakes here recently. I have zero doubts in my mind that any player on this roster thinks marion barber has accountability issues.

and with mcbriar, he has been accountable, he does talk to the media and he has said he needs to get better. This week he said he felt uncomfortable doing it so romo stepped up to do it.

Accountability is not a problem this year because the guys who didnt take up for their failures are gone. Long gone.

This team got beat by a team that has their number right now, another good team in NY.

Dont make it out to be anymore than that.

if this team blows it again, you wont have to worry about accountability either, because there is a good chances most of the coaches will be out and new coaches bring new players...so somethings will change...yet again.
