i disagree. when is the last time you saw someone catch him from behind? I can't remember it. Quinten Demps ran a sub 4.4 at the combine and didn't come close to catching him on that kick return.

I saw him get run behind against Green Bay

I disagree, watch it again. Colombo takes out two guys on that play, the second guy with a right leg whip, and judging by the height of the leg, it looks intentional.

Check these highlights out:

I like the swing past at the 1.15 minute mark. Gotta love the way he is slicing through traffic.

it just looked awkward to me, and everytime I see him running downfield, he's only blocking guys because he's lunging too soon and his body is getting in the way

He doesn't have the speed of Chris Johnson but neither does anyone else.

OTOH, he has an ability to laterally accelerate so quickly he doesn't seem to be doing it a lot. I still don't have a handle on it but he just converts nonlinear movement to the vertical quicker than anyone I've seen. People don't even appear to be missing him. He just runs by them. Whatever you call it he has a rare and elite ability.

As I said before, we need to feed Felix until opposing defenses prove they can stop him. Simple as that. Forget about who has "earned" the most carries. We need to do what is best for this team. What's best is the Cat being fed the ball every drive.

48 touches as a rookie.

14 plays of 20+ yards, 3 plays of 40+ yards and 4 touchdowns.

Let's see more.

if nobody can catch you from behind, it doesnt matter

I doubt anybody in the NFL right now is catching Felix Jones from behind.

As one of the posters above said, Felix may not have 4.3 straight-line speed on a track, but he can run sideways, laterally and diagonally without seemingly slowing down at all. That's why he can turn those corners so fast; defenders botch the angle as they don't anticipate how quickly he runs on an edge.

You may be oh for two there. He WAS involved pretty early in the season...but if he was not, it would have been Garrett's call more than Wade's.

Felix can be at his top speed quicker than anyone else and his agility/cutting ability is just sick.

He is like a cat.

Even though he didn't flatten anyone, the guy "blocked" two Bengals on that play. It might not have been pretty, but he sprung the whole play.

This is the guy I'm most excited about for next season. He is a special back that really can change the game at any moment.

Kudos to all of you that vehemetly supported him in spite of his 8 reps at the combine.

That just got me fired up.

You said it better than I did. People aren't even lunging at him. They're missing so badly they don't even have the chance to lunge. They're not even in the picture. He's just by people that quickly.
