and they are talking about Seattle's 4 wr set and how it was very effective against the Giants.

What personnel will we have on the field and how do you think we will stop this formation when we play the Hawks?

Our 4 wide tends to include Witten as a receiver. Otherwise, it's probably Hurd, unless we motion a back out (like Julius has done on occasion this year).

I think the question is what kind of defensive scheme can we use to oppose this Seahawks offense?

Sorry. Didn't read it that closely. Well, like the other poster suggests, we're not playing Seattle, so it makes no sense.

I'm out of it today. I thought we did. :/

This last year of school is frying my brain.

When we play the Seahawk ;) (In the playoffs) The best way to combat the 4WR is to be able to apply pressure. A giant did a poor job of both getting pressure on Hassleback and just as poorly was their coverage. Guys were wide-open. Same thing could be said for the giants secondary against Philly

I think the real issue here is put some pressure on the Giants and watch them self destruct

Strahan looks his age and they are chipping Osi with a back or te alot of the time, slowing him down.

i think we still go nickel and run a zone against it...or play man and only 1 safety deep. Blitzing effectively would be the best defense against it.

You may be right but Strahan looked great last season with 11.5 sacks it is hard to imagin that kind of drop off from him but as of 3 games into the season he has 0 sacks.

Age typically does that. It's usually a quick drop-off rather than a fade. See Curtis Martin.

Strahan just went through a nasty divorce. He might not be emotionally there.

I think if we force Manning to watch his own commercials, he will fold before kickoff...
