And they're playing exceptionally well against Jacksonville. Many were gnashing their teeth because we failed to record a sack against the Texans, but it appears that Kubiak has really turned this line around.

The fact of the matter is, we arent as good as advertised. We have a ggod team, a team that can possibly win the division, maybe a playoff game, but we arent the SB contenders we were made out to be. SB contenders don't lose games like the one we lost to Jacksonville.

How did you get all this out of the Texans whooping the Jaguars?

You know, we beat the snot out of the Texans last week.

Are you trying to say that a Super Bowl Contender has never lost a game that they simply shouldn't have lost because I gotta disagree with you there.

No, I'm saying SB contenders don't lose games because they completely and totally collapse. If the other team comes back and straight up beats you, that's one thing. When your defense and your QB basically hand them 17 points, that's a different story entirely.

What about last year's Pittsburgh Steelers though? They lost late in the year at home to Cincinnati 38-31 after Ben Roethlisberger threw three picks that immediately led to 21 Bengals points. And yet, didn't Pittsburgh end up winning the Super Bowl anyway?

Pittsburgh never led by more than 7 points in that game and trailed by 14 most of the second half

True but the most we ever led by was 10 points and that was in Jacksonville's stadium, not in our own house like the Steelers were.

Not true. They only trailed by 14 for about 3 1/2 minutes in the second half.

ya, they are falling apart AFTER we have played them and before they play our two closest division rivals at this point

So take away the 2004 Patriots' Super Bowl title, because they were not contenders that season, according to you.

You mean like how Seattle lost in near identical fashion and score at Jax the year prior when they made the super bowl?

The Cowboys D is awful because they didn't sack David Carr though, right?

Knee-jerking and overreaction is a part of life I guess, but it seems to go a bit far sometimes. Losing to Jacksonville wasn't the end of the world anymore than beating Houston meant that Dallas was great again. That's why they play the games.

We lost on the road at RFK to Washington in 1992. A game we should have won since we lead the entire game including 17-7 going into the fourth quarter. a couple of Lohmiller field goals and an Aikman fumble in the end zone leads to a Washington victory.

Dallas, of course, won the Super Bowl that year (In a pre-cap pre free agency era no less)

But yeah, you're right.

Super Bowl champions don't lose those types of games

Evidently you have not been watching the NFL for very long making comments like that. Even Dallas Super Bowl teams has lost aginst poor teams on their way to winning the big game. Saying any one game is proof of anything in the NFL is foolish at best
