Damn we will finally see wat watkins has in him..we will see if he has matured n learned from his mistake during the philly game....

although nobody has said anything....but i think watkins could be playing for his starting job tonight...if he gets toasted agian...it will show he cant handle the big games..n bill will second guess himself for starting a rookie...

i think he'll do good tho...as long as we dont blitz our Cbs well be ok....we should have williams close to the LOS n have watkins give help to shockey or Plaxico...n let newman man handle amani toomer as he has done in the past...

wat u guys think?? is watkins job on the line?...im not saying he has to make plays..but he sure cant give any up

He played decent last week and when your a rookie every week is a test. He had a bad game aginst Philly other than that game he had done a decent job.

If that were to happen where he gave up 2 TD passes then I could see him come out for a series or 2 but I think in the end this is Watkins job and I think Parcells will give him more oppertunities. Even in the Philly game one of those deep balls would have been difficult for most safeties to make a play on a well thrown ball as that one was.

I think he'll be fine. He jumped on a corner blitz. A position he won't find himself in to often. The other play was a flea flicker. I can't say that I'm worried about Watkins back there. I think our defense will be flying around making plays all night. The only player that I'm concerned about is #11. If he's sharp and makes good decisions, I think we win!

With the articles recounting how Eli has started games slowly and by throwing passes too high I hope and half expect this to be the game that Watkins get his first pick.
Coughlin comes from BPs coaching tree and I am worrieed that we may see the fleaflicker to attack our safeties tonight though.

One or two good hits from Roy and Shockey won't be a problem.:)

Watkins will probably need to match up a little more with Shockey which I think he could do for some reason, after all he is 6'5!

i thought this thread was gunna be about steroids

:lmao2:

I opened this thread planning to post something along these lines.

Watkins A sample was positive, and they had to test the B sample. This thread will go over 70 pages and 1000 posts as we debate whether taking Watkins was a good move, or if we should have signed Dwight Smith... (sorry superpunk:D)

I really want Watkins to be tested, because the first time he picks one off, his confidence will be so high, you won't even be able to throw in his direction.

When you see a vet like A. Archuletta "bite" on a teaser play, a rookie gotta realize that's football, that's sports.....gotta bounce back, but gotta learn and recognize...

film film and more film and then tendancies.....make 2 piks and get em back

ala old Everson Walls//// Landry quote....he gives some up, but he takes some back at them....

....that'll work for him also
