I have talked to alot of people today, both in person and online, that are Cowboy fans that were on the fence with Garrett and maybe thought he needed some more time.....until yesterday. Almost everybody mentioned Aikman going on about the playing as the reason they think Garrett should be fired. Just a few of the most common answers..............

"After Aikman went on and on about how stupid it was to not be running the ball, I have to agree".

"That was just indefensible how Garrett botched the game like that, I agree with Aikman on this."

"Aikman was right to be calling out Garrett, that was just plain stupid to not be running the ball"

If we do miss the playoffs and Garrett is fired, I think having a franchise legend like Aikman calling him out on national TV may have been the stake through the heart....................no coming back from something like that.

Yea but Romo has the power to audible... So its kinda hard to say. Plus Romo is on the record saying he audible out of known run plays.

Not really. Even before this weekend there were people who hated to hear Aikman call a game because he was a "hater".

Garrett has the final say. He should have told Romo to stick with the play call no matter what.

I think Romo can read a defense as well as anyone but his physical limitations are growing with each passing year. Factor in the habit of him having to carry the team and he has it in his head that he is the only one that can get it done. This needs to change.

I found it humorous that both Aikman and Buck kept questioning the play calling while commenting on the second half of the game. Even Buck had a few poignantly humorous comments. Garrett should go back and watch the second half of the game just to hear how idiotic he looks.

Like Derrick said on Cowboys Break.............doesnt matter................head coach is responsible for everything that goes on, it comes with the job................The Captain goes down with the ship, even if he is not the guy that hit the iceberg.

Aikman and Buck just tore Garrett to shreds the entire second half.........................Garrett looked like a total idiot out there.......................no coming back from something like that.

Again, who was the last person that talked to Romo before the play....Garrett. He should have said at no cost do you pass the ball. It is easy as that. If he does, then bench Romo.....

I agree completely.. He has to tell Romo, "You have three options here, only THREE.. Run Left, Middle, Or Right.. Tell Murray stay in bounds or his butt is riding the pine next game as well"..

Garrett throwing people under the bus to save his own hide is not sitting well a lot of folks either. Even Mickey said that Garrett looked frustrated and said some things he should not have said publicly.

Broaddus and the others seemed to think it was total bush league..........................I think it was Ed Cahill that said Garrett looked desperate in that post game presser.

Whatever happens, it is becoming very clear that the wagons are not circling to help Garrett, its actually the contrary, folks that were almost never critical of him in the past are now calling him out.

It is the idiot Garrett who is talking to Romo through the headset and Garrett is the man who is supposed to be in charge. There are ZERO excuses for Garrett in this situation.

I'll owe him when he gets to the root of the problem publicly.

I was 100% behind Garrett at first although I hated the way he got the gig. Then I was on the fence two years ago. Now.......It looks like we wasted alot of years. Callahan to OC was the nail, IMO.

The bottom line is Romo has a $100 million contract with $40 million guaranteed.

Garret is on coaching salary.

Who do you think gets to stay when it all falls down?

I don't know why we had to hit rock bottom with Garrett to see that he's not a good coach.

You have to be pretty dang delusional to think this guy was the quality of coach that the Dallas Cowboys should have.

I never thought he should've been even the OC.. Let alone Coach.. I didn't need all this crap to happen to see that. I am sure others didn't either. Only the blind homers thought this was a good thing.
