about this game. One blowout and our considence is SHOT. I hope this isn't the case in the Cowboys locker-room - I hope Parcells doesn't bring his doom and gloom mug to the game, the last thing I wanna see is him wiht his arms folded and pouting - I'm about fed up with him almost as much as TO.

This is the season where coaches makes moves, changes, big calls etc ... I hope the Grocery Clerk is up to it.

IMO - Parcells job is on the line these last 3 games.

I was just finally letting down my guard and then New Orleans happened.

The last 10 years hasn't bred a lot of confidence in me, and while things change...they often stay the same as well.

I'm hoping, and have a degree of faith...but in today's NFL and with the recent history of this franchise, I see little reason to be brimming with confidence on the road.

I think he is gone unless he goes deep in the playoffs. I will be happy. The only the he has proven to me is that their are fundamental things of the NFL that he cant coach. He tries to hide his faults by intimidating the media, but that only lasts for so long.

Example: We will never know the full story behind Vanderjact, but it seems he could have "coached" him instead of having to cut him to sign a guy that we dont know will be able to kick for us.

You want to explain to me how you coach the most accurate kicker in the NFL? What are you going to tell him that he doesn't already know?
Vanderjact's problem was mental, and Parcells doesn't have to be a psychiatrist.

Exactly my point

Of course coaches have to be psychiatrists. Actually, in the NFL, the coaching position is more of a psychiatrist than in lower leagues where you teach fundamentals.

We may never know the real story behind vandy, but assuming his only problem was his kicking, Parcells let him and the team down on that one.

Well, obviously whatever they were trying wasn't working. He wasn't correcting his kicks, and I'm sure he was getting a lot of psychiatric treatment from the assistants.

His kicking was a reflection of a mental breakdown, so no, kicking wasn't his only problem. Aside from that, he was a cancer in the lockerroom. He rubbed people the wrong way.

Letting Vanderjact go was the right decision. Nobody else in the NFL has signed him.

The irony of this coming from a kid with a TO picture in his signature will keep me smiling for the rest of the day.

I thank you for that.

There is a difference.
A disruptive player who is actually helping your team win is one thing.
A disruptive kicker who is costing you games is another
Pleeease.

I worry every game. But that aside, we should have been worried about this Saints game. The little things that weren't working here and there during the season all came out in one game.

Ineffective pass rush, blown coverages by the safties/cbs (the deep play), problems rushing the ball, qb protection issues, poor tackling. The only thing Dallas didn't do was get penalized 10times.

If the blowout had come in week 4 instead of 14, I probably wouldn't have worried as much. But we have a SLIM lead in the division and as bad as the conference is, we aren't exactly running away from the pack if we drop to a WildCard.

Worry yes...you may not, but I will.

Why are posts like this really needed?? Just think of the bandwidth that would be saved if posts like this were removed. We all worry, we are fans, if we did not worry we would not watch the games.

Anyways JJ already told Parcells he wanted him back 4 weeks ago. Parcells job is NOT on the line? Did he get fired after a dismal effort last year...NO.

Count to 10 before you post

Sorry for being so negative I just so frustrated reading posts like this wwhere some completly contradiicts something that was discussed and offered.

The same reason these posts are needed: this is the Theatre of the Obvious. People are venting. If it keeps them from doing violence to their TV, dog, or a loved one, all to the good.

If you feel that strongly about the subject, start your own board; you can then control things as you see fit.

I don't like or agree with everything I see here either, but I signed up for it when I came on board like everyone else.

Happy holidays.:D

What you just singed up and your telling people what to do? I guess you have to get posts somehow. Anyway my point is that there are about 50 more of these and if you do a search (ask someone thay may teach you how) you can add this post to it as opposed to doing a new one. And then to say his job is on the line is like me saying we should resign Romo.

Amen.

As long as our Defense plays this way I will continue to worry.

As long as Keith Davis plays ahead of Pat Watkins I will continue to worry.

As long as the opposing QB has 5 seconds to throw the ball I will continue to worry.

As long as RBs get 10 yard plus pass plays out of the backfield I will continue to worry.

I do agree with you about Bill. I need to see him doing some coaching on the sidelines. He has a job to do on gameday too besides just watching and listening.

people should be worried...the defense has been absolutely atrocious for the last 6 quarters...the New Orleans game might have been the single worst game any team has played defensively this season

the coaching of this defense has been a disgrace...we shouldnt be a middle of the pack team with disgraceful efforts like we saw vs New Orleans and Philly
