We are asking Romo to make up for Drew's mistakes that lead to 3 losses.
We are asking Romo to make up for Bill's mistake NOT to put him in sooner.
In essence we are asking Romo to win 70-80% of his games.
Its asking alot... I hope he can do it... funny thing is... I have a feeling he can do it.
When all is said and done this year... if we miss the playoffs by 1 game... this will all come back to haunt us.
Go Romo, Go Cowboys!
We are 4-3. We have 9 games left. If he goes 6-3, we finish 10-6 and most likely in the playoffs. That's 66%...he doesn't actually have to win the games...he has a team of 42 other guys who will hopefully be contributing as well.
Furthermore, while Bledsoe didn't play well, I think it's totally unfair and stupid to think you can blame Bledsoe for all 3 losses. As I remember, we were only down by a few points after Bledsoe's half....Romo's half created the huge spread. I also remember the defense losing at least one of those games for us with their pathetic play in the secondary.
Romo had a great game against Carolina, but he didn't single handedly win that game...the other guys did a pretty good job, and if they continue to play better and improve, there's no reason to think we shouldn't go 6-3, with games against Washington, Arizona, Tampa Bay, and Detroit, who have a total of 6 wins between them. We should be able to eek out 2 other wins against Philly, New Orleans, or Atlanta, not that I'm saying we can't beat Indy if we play a great game and run the ball well.
Face it...we're not asking Romo to do that much. As a team, if we can't beat Washington (2 wins), Arizona (1 win), Tampa Bay (2 wins), and Detroit (1 win), then it won't be Romo's fault...Any loss to any one of those teams is possible, but if we're a playoff caliber team, we should win all 4 of those games.
