Watched both the Lunch Break and Talkin Cowboys and the only guy to pick the Cowboys to win was Steve Dennis.

Even Mickey picked the Saints, 33-30..........................brutal when Dennis is the only guy that thinks we have a shot.............LOL

Aren't we 2-1 with Mickey picking against us?

I think you are right bro, maybe its a good sign he is picking the Saints.

Broaddus acted like we have no shot, basically said our defense was not good enough to play with the Saints..........................How did Cleveland and their 31st ranked defense beat the Saints then?

Depends if RMcClain, HMelton, TMcClain play. They practiced a little today. If they don't play, our offense basically has to score 35-40 pts for a chance.

If Demarco gets over 25 carries we win this game. Romo has to stick to the run and don't try to get into a shootout with Brees. Hopefully Garrett and Linahan will keep him on a short leash with the Audibles this game.

Getting picked to lose by 3 points doesn't mean we have no shot. It means he expects us to be very competitive but the odds are narrowly against us -- which, frankly, is more than fair.

Maybe Cleveland's defense is ranked 31 because they've played against not one, not two, but three Super Bowl winning quarterbacks in their first three games?

Food for thought anyway.

I think the whole "when Murray gets 20+ carries" argument is a little bit of backwards logic. If a team is running a ton, then they have the lead. If they're passing a ton, then the might be trying to catch up. It makes you wonder which is the symptom and which is the cure. Do teams run a lot because they have the lead, or have the lead because they run a lot?

The Saints have taken a step back. With that said, I do think they are probably still the better team. The run game should be easy to confine. The pass game is still problematic. Should (could) be a good one.

this is the same thing from the cowboy fans as last year "urrrrggh its everyoe vs us guys, no respect, urrrggh we re going to show them" yes, someone was shown, the cowboys fans, 8-8 three years in a row and last year the NFCEast gave it to us and we just coulnt take it, we proved to the fan base we didnt want it. so we threw that away. Now lets make this clear, last year we not only would not, we COULD not stop the Saints. We are only one year removed from that shallacking, because to call it a beat down is not fair because the fight was stopped due to time. Had it gone all the rounds we'd still be bleeding. THis offseason, Dallas has gone and proven we not only dont want it, we're going to once again shove it down your throat, we dont get it. Its up to you to understand the difference.

No one, and i mean no one should be picking Dallas to win, unless its a real bad team. WE have done absolutely nothing to prove anyone wrong. Sure we can beat up bad teams, but unless everyone rolls over for us we cant beat a good team by ourselves. So why should anyone pick us? Until this team can consistitenly beat good teams, no one who has to look at the sport as a whole should say "well Dallas has proven they can hang with the big boys" because the truth of the matter, we cant. We can beat something here and there, but nothing constitent. nothing that says, "ok here is where Dallas can do damage on a good team all day" we have nothing yet to do that.

NOw with all that said, im ok with that. You dont win the SB in september. IM going if Dallas doesnt do good now. Fix it, Find it, fix it and get it done now. because once september is over, you have to start playing. That is what i am hoping for, I hope the Saints bury us. I hope Sean Peyton destroys every fiber of Garrett, because if Garrett keeps proving he cant handle the job, how can anyone defend this anymore? How? How can you look at every facet of this team and say "there is something worth defending?" ITs time people , this is it, we are tired, either Garrett proves he can shovel this team from the hole of which he helped put them in, or he puts hat in hand, shakes JJs hand and say "Thank you for the opt, but you know what, the pros isnt for everyone, and im taht kind of person" and he should walk away OK granted, hes not man enough of to do it, but not all of this is on JJ. Sometimes, just sometimes, a man has to prove he is a man and so far Garrett isnt doing either.

That is true to some extent, but this year seems different in that even when we didn't have the lead (i.e. 49ers and Rams games), we continued to run the ball.

Have to give Linehan kudos for doing something JG never could do - fighting the urge to get pass happy when things get rough.

What would it take for Garrett to prove himself to you?

I think the complexity of Ryan's scheme will benefit us. I'm expecting a big game... from Dunbar. 7-8 touches(catches or carries) for 60-75. I look for Scott to have LOTS of pre snap movement to try to confuse the average Saints defense.

great question, so far, not a bad offseason, so i can and will give him credit for that, For me i just want Garrett to show he can turn it around, make the halftime adjustments, beleive in Linehan. Let the team do its job but when the team faulters, show he can turn it around.

Even if September is bad, but in October he gets it running smoothly. Im happy, even if its a 8-8 year. I can point at something and say "thats working" "there is something Dallas can point to and say "we do it and we do it well"

IM not asking for the moon and the stars, im not saying it has to be playoffs or nothing. im not even saying it has win all from here but i want him to point at this team and say "this is something we do, we do it well, and the NFL knows we do it well" THat can be running, that can be something on defense, it might even be special teams. but i want something that his fist can come down on and say "im starting with that." It might be the offense, it might be getting pressure on any qb, it can be returning punts on special teams" but he needs something strong, and there is nothing strong on this team yet.

There are some people i can say ok does it we, Tony, Dez, was Lee on D, possibly the waterboy, i dont know, but there is no one aspect of the team that is strong, that is unrelenting, that you know year in year out, good team, bad team, that that one singular aspect is good enough. I just dont see it yet.

Thats all i want, something strong, something that hurts good teams as well as bad. So far we can beat up bad teams, YEAH, now i wnat something that says "we do dmanage in the NFL" doenst have to be big, but does have to work.

If it'll make you feel any better, Colin Cowterd picked the Boys to win 28-27.
