...Very interesting comment Madden made tonight about a conversation he had with Parcells when he took the Dallas job. He asked him how long it would take to turn it around and Parcells said, "it depends on how long it takes me to find a QB."
Well folks, after watching this game, I'm afraid Parcells still hasn't found him a QB.
Bledsoe looks like Aikman, circa 1998-2000. Old, slow, unable to avoid pressure and not able to make things happen on a consistent basis. His mechanics are sloppy and he just doesn't seem to see the field as well as he should for a player with his ability and experience.
Henson clearly isn't ready to play and still plays tight, even though I didn't think he looked as bad as some on here thought. Jerry has already said they will be extremely patient with him, so he might develop in the future, but he's certainly not ready for real bullets now.
Romo is just what I thought he was. A Jason Garrett wannabe. He is probably more prepared to play right now than Henson, but I'm sorry, if you honestly believe he shows big-time skills you are just wishing. There is no way, as I see it, that Romo would hold up in a real game playing against starters and playing against a game plan for him. The guy was an UFA and that is what his skills looked like tonight.
The bottom line is it doesn't look like we have the answer right now at QB, UNLESS, Parcells structures things very well for Bledsoe and he grows into this offense.
I'm afraid we are going to think Vinny didn't look too bad compared to what we may see this year at that position.
