This is perfect, we always do bad when we are expected to win but this year is different. I expect us to have a great year and win the NFC. Super Bowl is def possible.

I'm referring moreso to being up 3 games in the drivers seat to win the division than letting it slip away.

Dallas has to get past that, regardless of being the favorite or the underdog the goal is to go out and execute and to play hard be it the Seahwaks you are facing or the Cleveland Browns. It clearly falls to the coaching staff to keep this team focused no matter who you play.

We just don't play well in the season when we have a lot of hype before it starts. No 1 expects us to do well this year.

That was true about 3 years ago. For the past 3 seasons, however, the Cowboys did about what most of the analyst expected. Now that the Cowboys have a bunch of young talent playing in place of guys like Ware and Hatcher, the expectations are even lower...and rightfully so. I'm not saying it's completely impossible for the Cowboys to turn things around this season...just highly unlikely.
It is at times like these, you have to ask yourself why you follow this team to begin with. If you just love the game and the team, regardless of the results, you should be just fine. But if you are of the type whose interest hinges on championships, you may want to reconsider your fanship. The Cowboys, despite statements otherwise, are in rebuilding mode. If you have patience and the Cowboys brass stays the course with their recent brand of smart decisions, both in drafting and the type of contracts they are willing to give out, we should see improvement over time. It's a bit unfair to expect results this season, but for those who just simply love this team and the game, it should still be entertaining. For those who expect results this year, they may be in for a big dissappointment.

Hey, if we make the post-season and progress, I'm entertained. And making the post season hinges on maintaining our level of play on offense and ST, and improving a really abysmal defense. That's not all that high a hurdle in NFL terms.
Granted, over time, you want a contender and you want Superbowl trophies, but nobody ought to be reconsidering their fanship if that doesn't happen this season. It's too hard to do consistently. Fans need to just soak it all in when they have a team capable of competing, because that wheel is going to turn, soon enough. We saw that again first-hand in 2007-2009.

I'm all in, let's get the show going, and make it our year for the 6th time.
Thing is, we really don't know what will happen, as we all know that. Even the most pessimistic fan has that little glimmer that it can happen. Or you should anyway.
Realistically, we will need to see how this team performs, hope for the best, but other teams have done it, so why not us, this year.
other SB teams favored to go back, missed the playoffs. with a younger, healthier team, I can only see things getting better before getting worse. We can say tougher schedule, but that's all relative. It is based on last years records. And we know those teams can change as much as ours, rather it's better, or worse.

We were expected to go 8-8 and lose in the last game of the season to miss the playoffs last year and we did just that.

Dont look now but this team has been the team no one believes in for a few years now.
You'll have your analyst here and there the last couple years who predicted them to win the division but given how our seasons have been going pretty much everyone hasn't believed we'd be a playoff team in a couple years.
