Funny. Same here.. One can hope though. Although, they make it difficult to be a glass half full kinda fan.I had tagged Dallas at 8-8, maybe 9-7

Looks like we're also going to "lose" to them as well. As in "not win".
& a quick 1st round exit? Sorry.. That's nothing to write home about.8-8 might not be so bad this year
might just get us into the playoffs lol
I don't want to rain on anyone's 8-8 parade, but there are a lot of QB's in the NFL that can pick apart the holes in our defense like Rivers did today. Even the announcers were saying over and over that Dallas needed to do something else - like go man to man - because Rivers was just throwing the same routes repeatedly to move the ball and control the clock.
to yet another illustrious 8-8 season. Good teams win games like this. Good teams utilize a balanced approach. Good teams run the ball. Good teams regularly sustain offensive drives win a "balanced" run pass combination. This is so frustrating but I guess it shouldn't surprise me. This regime is bad. Very very bad. A strong coaching staff keeps the team even so they never get too high when they win and too low when they lose. This team was still riding the high of a W against the Rams. Romo cannot take the game on his shoulders. That recipe has proven over the years to be unsuccessful. We have to utilize a balanced approach and truly embrace it to see any level of progress. It was nice to see my boy Bease in there doing his thing. Anyone to redirect Tony's man love towards Witten...
So frustrating...
That is a very complex question. Garrett has been able to camouflage himself into the type of coach that keeps Jerry pacified. Any coaching prospect out there is going to have to think long & hard because they're not just coming to coach the Boys. They're also coming to pacify Jerry.Who will be the next coach then?
Garrett can't coach, it's just not for him. Unfortunately, Jones didn't know he couldn't coach because he had no resume. He hand picked a guy with only very little experience as a position coach or something. A real GM would not do something so stupid. And his ego has kept Garrett here for all these years. This is the root of mediocrity. Failure of a team starts at the top.

Wow. Finally someone who see's EXACTLY what I see. Jerry does not have the EXPERTISE to pick a head coach. And his ego will not allow him to fire Garrett, because that would be his admission that Garrett is not qualified to do this job. Which would also be his admission that he was NOT qualified to pick Garrett. And we all know Jerry admitting he is wrong would only be something he would do as a last resort. Because remember, there are "500 coaches that could coach the Cowboys". I bet any amount of money that Jerry is going to give Garrett an extension. Jerry is convinced Garrett is the next Tom Landry. But moreso than that, Jerry is convinced he is a REAL football man.
Jerry has fired plenty of coaches. He's not above firing Garrett. He has often admitted that he made wrong decisions by hiring new coaches. If he ever hired a GM, I think people would have a problem with who he chose anyway. Unless that GM won a Super Bowl and right away, everybody would be pissed at the choice our "idiot owner" made for a GM. He can't win.
just wait until Garrett unleashed his vaunted "12" offense! Those mismatches will be maddening, just wait and see!
Who will be the next coach then?
