Jerry has fired plenty of coaches. He's not above firing Garrett. He has often admitted that he made wrong decisions by hiring new coaches. If he ever hired a GM, I think people would have a problem with who he chose anyway. Unless that GM won a Super Bowl and right away, everybody would be pissed at the choice our "idiot owner" made for a GM. He can't win.

No...he can't win. That's what happens when you're bad at your job and prove time and time again your clueless.

I don't feel sorry for him and don't blame those that put the previous 17 years of mediocrity squarely at his feet.

He has brought those sentiments on himself.

NFL seasons are long. You can't judge how anything's going to turn out in the first quarter of the season, much less re: a team at 2-2.

Most coaches want to choose their own staff. Unless they want to coach the Cowboys that is. Then they're at the mercy of Jerry Jones and his preselected staff of yes men.

I know Jerry Jones doesn't want to admit it but this team is in fact rebuilding...

lets not get carried away,8-8 is a long way off.I thought our defense had improved but they fall flat again against a good QB.Romo has to carry this team if that happens and i am not sure he is that kind of QB anymore.

Why? Just why does romo have to carry us? We've gone to him 3 games this season and were 1-2 this season when he's had to "carry" us! Romo names needs to called less frequent for THIS team to win. The OP had it right, Romo to Witten is old!! Romo handoff to Murray is refreshing!

I think it’s enough to spot a trend, especially in the light of what’s happened around these parts for the last number of years.

Win one, loose one and it matters little against whom.

Sure. But I bet Sk*ns fans were saying the same thing this time last season, too.

Just because your neighbour wins the lottery, doesn’t mean you will too.

This team has had more talent than the Skins over the last few years especially at QB (until last year that is) and has done little with it.

Too often half decent teams manage to full exploit the Cowboy’s weaknesses but the Boys fail to manage the same even when we seem to have a big advantage (see the Chargers OL or their defense being 32nd in defending the pass or 27th in defending the run).

Now our defense is reverting to type (two turnovers generated in the last three games and can't get off the field) and the offense can’t score.

The only bright spots seem to be the kicker and the return guy and when that’s all you’ve got your in trouble.

8-8? No way, we are headed to 2-14 folks. What happens in today's game will happen in every single game, because that's how the NFL works.

Actually, we have our flaws, namely depth on the Dline and below average safety play. Carter and Claiborne have struggled as well. But there has been a lot of promise this year as well, today's loss notwithstanding.

What I think is going to happen is we are going to have some great days and some not so great ones. A lot of our games will come down to the wire. We will beat some teams the majority here will say we can't. We will lose some games in which we are favored.

Come December, we will be in the thick of things for a playoff spot, like usual. Whether we win enough to get in, well, IDK.

We will hoist & carry our mediocrity championship title proudly again like we do every year.

It's acceptable here, it has been since Jimmy left. After 7-8 wins and missing the playoffs on the last game of the season again, Jerry will say if this and if that and if this and if that happens we would be in the playoffs..It's the same miserable excuse from him and the fans every year. If if if if if, funny though how after 15 years IF never happens......Nothing will change. 7 wins may win this awful division and they will spin it like it was great accomplishment. It's amazing how people buy into his $;)($:$^** b..it's what he does for a living..He is a snake oil salesman and a lot people on this board buy into it........

Romo is not that type of QB anymore.

He is always hurt..

And the defense has a complete book on him.

Once you have been in the league a certain number of years..

..the other teams figure you out and unless you can elevate or change..

You are going to lose.

This team is never going to win like this.

The NFL has passed this team and franchise by.

Frankly..

Since the beginning of FA..we never have been able to really build this team.

What happened in the 90s starts to feel like it was more luck than anything Jerry Jones did.

The more I see this team play under Garrett..

The more it reminds me of the Dave Campo era.

And we know how long it took to work thru that.

We have been a .500 team under Garrett. It is nothing like the Campo 5-11s. Any attempt to say so reeks of sensationalism.

I wouldn't worry about another 8-8 season. This is a 6-10 outfit. No way these dopes sweep this terrible division, and outside of Oakland, there isn't a gimme outside of it.

Oakland Isnt a gimme either

Its been 4 games. And I don't care if you've "seen this story before". I don't care. This is the NFL. Its full of parity and unpredictability. You can be doom and gloom if you want but i'll continue to cheer for them and at least WAIT for them to fail as opposed to already determine they have failed before they've actually done it.

I truly admire your ability to maintain a fresh approach to the recurring story. While many many become bored with reading the same pages over & over again, you somehow manage to keep it new. Bravo to you.
