Did you consistently have pain before surgery? asking because my doctor thinks I tore mine.
When it first happened, I couldn't lift my arm shoulder height. Apparently, the first doctor I went to was an idiot and couldn't figure out what was wrong, even with X-rays and CT/Scan. He gave me a shot of cortisone, which worked okay for a week, then he tried another one which didn't do squat, so decided I was done spending money on it. I was able to eventually compensate for it, for about 13 years. Then it started waking me up several times a night in intense pain, so I went to a much better doctor and got the surgery.
One of the most over-rated players in Dallas history. He has some talent— but damn— people act like his 16.5 career sacks are irreplaceable lol
And to top it off he showed his true colors on his way out… bye Randy lol
All of last season Gregory was breaking down physically. He was a part time player as well.
Baseball and football both put a lot of stress on the shoulder.
As one who has had this surgery, I went through 3 months of physical therapy to see if that could resolve the pain issue I was having before my surgery. Maybe the wanted RG to do the same thing. He should be back and ready to play full strength by August as long has he does not do anything stupid while he is rehabbing it.
Correction: they offered him a large contract with tons of protections built in for themselves. If he ended up screwing up again the financial burden to the Cowboys would have been greatly reduced.
I tend to agree.
I don't know what you had done & I'm no shoulder expert, but isn't a scope pretty basic?
If he still been with Dallas.. He would of waited til training camp to get the surgery...
remember Tank he kept the team hostage
On 1 hand:
Gregory will turn 30 later this year
Has 16.5 career sacks in 50 games played
Had only 19 total tackles last year
Was embarrassingly bad versus San Fran in the playoffs.
Had rotator cuff surgery and has no timeline yet to return.
Cost 28M GTD for next 2 years.
On the other hand:
you guys hate Jerry so he has to be wrong.
Tough call imo.
When Gregory signed with the Broncos, I slept like a baby.
Who knows? I just thought maybe it has to do with contracts and stuff.
Broncos edge defender Randy Gregory is sitting out the offseason program after undergoing an arthroscopic procedure on his rotator cuff in March.
It may be a minor surgery, but it's definitely surgery.
Oh. "At any time" is sort of up in the air given certain...circumstances that delay procedures dealing with non-life-threatening stuff.
You woke up crying every hour?
I could be totally wrong too, I had a knee scope and it was extremely minor, but again I'm no shoulder expert.
That's a fair point about the physical therapy. I wouldn't bet on him doing something smart or stupid. You never know with that guy. Glad he's no longer our concern.
