We don't have enough picks to fix our problems

The Best Player available falls in your lap every year.
LOL you mean like TJ Watt did and dumb**** Rod was pounding that table for that worthless POS Taco?? That still makes me want to punch Rod straight in the face with a baseball bat.

Nobody does BPA

there are always tradeoffs and conditions

very few drafts, at least in the early rounds, go for anything other than need

need will always come first

we can't since LB still looks weak; though there is some hope there
still need someone to replace Mazi on the DL
I just think the secondary really needs 3 new starters. Both safeties need replaced and we need another starter either in the slot or outside depending on where they play Bland next year.

I agree with hope at LB. I would still like to draft an LB with one of our top 3 picks.

CB/S
LB
S/CB

IMHO.
I think we’ve invested a lot of draft capital into the DL recently. And we have 3 solid DT’s under contract next year.

IF we do anything at DE I’d like to sign a starting DE entering his 2nd contract.

Clark
ODigizuwa
Thomas
Are all signed through next year.

Cowboys are going to win the Super Bowl this year. We don't. have any problems

Dude, I LOVE the optimism and if it happens, you will be on record as being the first to call it.

Not gonna knock ya, I wholly endorse your message.

Every team has holes, and injuries that create new ones during the course of the season. It seems that for us to be successful, we have to run the ball and stop the run. We have a rb. We have a powerful , deep OL. So, my guess is that we spend 2 first round picks next year on defense. I'm looking at LB and CB. Seems those are the hardest spots to fill.

For the Cowboys DT and FS have been the hardest to fill

we need to pick up another good DT in FA but we will dumpster dive there again

We suck at every position
That's objectively false, unless you're specifically talking defense. :laugh:Realistically Rd 1. BPA DE, DT, S, CB, LB - get the 2 best at any of those positions. Rd 2. BPA out of the remaining. Then, draft BPA all defense unless someone falls and we gotta snatch em up.

One of the Cowboys greatest problem is the amount of talent that can't play due to injury.

Tyler Smith, Tyler Booker, Cooper Beebe, Peyton Turner, Tyler Guyuton, Caelon Carson, Josh Butler, Shavon Revel, Robert Jones, Jonothon Mingo, CD Lamb, Malik Hooker, Miles Sanders, Phil Mafah, John Stephens, Perrion Winfrey, Kavontae Turpin, Marshawn Kneeland.....

Having some of these guys back would solve a lot of the problems.

Everyone should have expected the defense to struggle early with six new starters, all the injuries, the departure of Parsons, a new DC and a new system..

We should wait a few games longer before determining what the real weaknesses are.

Those draft picks are the gold of the future. If the Cowboys are to have future success, then they need to make sure that the players selected are important contributors in the future seasons.

dude, lets be blunt: there simply is not enough talent on D. Those injured players on D by and large are not exactly All Pros
some of those names need to be gone NOW

The DT spot is no longer an issue. This is the best group we have had in decades. We don't spend draft capitol on safeties. We haven't drafted one in the first 2 rounds since 2002.

I would argue that the best group in decades is not a high bar for us.

We need a stud DT.

I did expect a struggle, but I can't believe we'd be getting Rick Rolled by Chicago! Last 2 weeks we've started turning the tide. Starting with the second half of the Peckers game—we started to gel a little bit. But... we still need to tighten it up and keep the CBs in man coverage. This secondary just cannot play zone, and they look like a completely different group when they get to man up.
