I was very disappointed. I felt that we should have put up more points on offense. It was a total team loss, from the coaching staff to the players.
I know that the skins are very good on defense, but I felt that our OL, would handle them and it did. I also felt that Jones would have 100yds, and he would have if we had forced the issue a little more.
We had some bad calls on Flozell, Bledsoe missed some passes and as was pointed out we had on 2 occasions that our receivers ran routes that were short of the first down marker, when we needed a first down.
Now what really got me was those running plays with Thompson, those were some bad plays. I know Thompson is talented but he does not run in between the tackles very good right now, we should have been passing then or had Jones in the game running the ball if we just had to run the ball.
We gave that game away.
Our defense is good, it played better than it did the first game and our OL, Petiti especially played well.
Henry is a beast at Corner, our rookies are beasts, they are coming on strong, Canty, Spears, Ware, and I'm sure when Burnett gets well he will contribute as well.
We need to use Price, we have him we need to use. I like Crayton a lot, but we have a potent receiving corp, and we need to use them.
The skins did not have anyone in their secondary that could have stayed with Price and Glenn, on deep routes. It is not hard to learn a deep route.
We gave that game away, no one thought we would lose to the skins, so that is one of the 3 losses that I picked us to have.
Which means that one of the teams that people believe we will lose to it will not happen, I say that it will be with the Eagles, instead of splitting with them I believe we will win both games now and the division.
Remember this game and the points we scored, I do not believe we will end up with only 13 points scored again.
