The Falcons couldn't have dreamed-up a more favorable scenario than to play us with Romo out, Dez out and all three of our best pass rushers out (Hardy, Gregory and Mincey). We should have never forced a 3 & out in the game on paper.

I don't feel overly bad about the loss other than they way we were let down in the 2nd half. I'd felt a lot better if they just ripped us early and were never allowed to claw back at the end because Weeden isn't that type of QB. Instead, we overachieved early and then let them go off with Julio. I don't know why you would give Julio alot of 1 on 1 soft coverage. We're we counting on the pass rush to get to Ryan or something? We got dinked and dunked to death. If the coaching staff doesn't do something about that, then you can chalk up the NO game as a loss, too, because that's their bread and butter.

Oh well. I'm still very optimistic about our team, but a little perturbed that a weaseling squad like the Falcons got to take advantage of a weak pass rush and a soft secondary. Sour grapes for sure.

Yep and even being up 28-14, my nerves were still bad. Once the Witten false start, followed by the Free holding call, I knew it was over.

True. Once the week wears on I think more will realize this.

It just sucks to let a lead slip away.

Well their game plan worked to perfection in the first half they decided to stick with it in the second. Our lines on both ends were controlled

I'm talking insofar as adjustments go. Seems like the coaching staff was incapable of making any. Playing soft on Julio Jones is unforgivable.

Man i just think you're so limited without Romo and Dez. None of our receivers are a threat without Dez. Witten holds his own inside but nothing on the outside by the rest of the guys.

The Falcons did to us the very thing we wanted to do to them.

They played mistake free football. Ran hard and took a lot of easy underneath throws on 3rd and short.

They never panicked and didn't press.

Matt Ryan is a very good veteran qb. Their rb did as much damage or more than Julio as far as converting 3rd downs and they wore out a wounded defense.

I can't be too hard on them I guess. The team really is decimated by injuries at key positions. Just hard to take this loss because of the lead they had.

This is reality. It slappd us in the face today. It was easy to stay positive prior to today. After seeing it on the field, I can't see how we win next week. Now afterwards we get McClain, Mincey, and Hardy back.

To me their 1st team O beat our second team D. Our first team O is really ..1.5 to 1.75 now with Tony, Dez, and Leary out. That said, liked what I saw from Collins, and the first half run game

We don't have a CB who can play 1 on 1 against Julio Jones. Most teams don't. With their other wide outs playing like crap, and only 1 TE playing in the game, I would have triple teamed him, punt coverage style. I would have sold out against the guy. Instead, we let Mo Claiborne guard him 1 on 1.

everyone expected top 10 performances by O and D that had significant injuries. I was impressed the score turned out how it did. I easily envisioned 42-9

Had we lost this game 31-28. Had we not been completely dominated in the second half. By what is really just an average to above average team. Had we any fight at all in the second half. I could find a way to feel " not so bad" about this loss. Getting beat like that has got to be pretty demoralizing to a team. Its certainly demoralizing to a fan!

Wasn't a well coached game IMHO.

Both Marinnelli and Linehan are responsible here.

Marrinelli was arrogent to have not double covered Julio Jones and just taking him out of the game.

Make somebody else beat you but not their best players.Instead..we allwed Patmon to cover him 1-1. You do not let your 5 or 6th best DB go mano-a-mano like that with an All Pro receiver.

Linehan deserves a reprimand for not calling any pass plays more than 10 yards down field.

You are playing right into the defense who just puts 8 in the box and I'm quickly seeing our OL has not met the challenge of controling the LOS like last year.

For those who think we can recover after the Bye Week..

Not going to happen if we are 2-6 at that point..

which I believe is what is about to happen.

That's it, exactly. Leaving Mo 1 on 1 playing soft against Julio Jones was asinine.
