The Falcons couldn't have dreamed-up a more favorable scenario than to play us with Romo out, Dez out and all three of our best pass rushers out (Hardy, Gregory and Mincey). We should have never forced a 3 & out in the game on paper.
I don't feel overly bad about the loss other than they way we were let down in the 2nd half. I'd felt a lot better if they just ripped us early and were never allowed to claw back at the end because Weeden isn't that type of QB. Instead, we overachieved early and then let them go off with Julio. I don't know why you would give Julio alot of 1 on 1 soft coverage. We're we counting on the pass rush to get to Ryan or something? We got dinked and dunked to death. If the coaching staff doesn't do something about that, then you can chalk up the NO game as a loss, too, because that's their bread and butter.
Oh well. I'm still very optimistic about our team, but a little perturbed that a weaseling squad like the Falcons got to take advantage of a weak pass rush and a soft secondary. Sour grapes for sure.
