Not a lot of adjustments you could make there. The d line got no push what so ever. You give Ryan that kind of time and nothing else you do matters.

That's it, exactly. Leaving Mo 1 on 1 playing soft against Julio Jones was asinine.

That too.

I thought our coaches had better sense than this.

Obviously not.

I'm interested in how Garrett responds to this team effort.

He needs to show a little fire about how his team just Met The Challenge he always harps about.

And I don't know if anyone noticed or it has been talked about, but why the heck did we take a time-out when we were first and goal at about the 2yd line with like 50+ seconds to go in the first half? I noticed that a timeout had been taken and said out loud to myself, "That's Atlanta's time out...we wouldn't take one there", only to be drop-jawed at the decision to give Matty Ice 2 timeouts and 45 seconds to get something going before the half. Stupid, stupid decision. That reminds me of some of the bad clock managements that cost us dearly in 2013. Would it had made a difference? Possibly. Instead of going into the half 28-10, we left the door open.

We coached scared and stupid on both sides today. Calling a timeout when you have first and goal at the 1 w 48 seconds left is the epitome of stupid

I always felt Dallas needed to split Atl/NO games. This makes NO game a must win or Dallas goes down a slippery slope.

Offense did plenty to win this game and I'll take 1-pick games from Weeden all season long as that's the best you can ask of him. Even the defensive players did what they could here and there considering their losses and the DA gameplan to give Julio all of the underneath he wanted. This one lands squarely on the coaching staff outside of Linehan.

28-17 with the ball at midfield with 10 minutes left in the 3rd. Dallas couldn't have dreamed up a better scenario given all the injuries. It came crashing down at that point.

Before this game, most on here predicted a W.

I didn't.

ATL 34
DAL 20
We lost the battle...

But won the war:
Matty Ice, Julio Jones and Roddy White incur season-ending injuries from an off the field scuffle with Dan Bailey.

At least the part about Dan Bailey could still come to fruition (Atlanta has yet to make it to their jet...and even then you never no who shows up to greet them at the gate in ATL)

NO is 0-3 and will be playing for their season. Expect to see Brees an the kitchen sink...

We had two TD leads.

No business trying to protect them.

or we just get to see NO collapse. 0-3 usually means you just don't have the horses to be good. Brees also can't throw down the field due to shoulder soreness. I would blitz heavy in that game because I don't respect Brees ability to beat them deep.

Yep and even being up 28-14, my nerves were still bad. Once the Witten false start, followed by the Free holding call, I knew it was over.

As great as he is, Witten is always good for a false start a game. :(

Don't let the title fool you. The only positive I took away from this was the O-line and run game looked like 2014 for the first half of the game. Other than that, I'm pouting like a fat kid staring at a dropped ice cream cone.

You're right. I was actually quite surprised I will give you that. Then they went back to sloppy penalties with good field position in the 2nd half. Starting with Witten!!!

The team actually teased me in the 1st half. But I had a feeling we were going to blow it in the 2nd half.

Looking at 2-3 real soon.
