I disagree. Especially if Eli can get away with Manningham and Smith. I just don't believe the receives are the excuse. You have to take what the defense gives you. The Bronco's didn't give the Cowboys the deep ball. Neither did the Giants. That happens. Its not because you have bad receivers. Its because the Bronco's took away your receivers. Give Bronco's credit and move on.

I don't know how much I buy this. With a 10-7 lead, our receivers were running wiiiiide open down the field. And Romo missed about three of them. Do I think our receivers are great? Nope. But I don't know how much I'm buying that they're dog-crap terrible.

No almost any receiver can be utilized with the right gameplan and the right QB throwing the ball. Tom Brady worked with very pedestrian receivers every time he won the Super Bowl. And the year he had Moss, he lost. It's kind of hard for receivers to make an impact when they do get open, their QB misses badly and ends up getting them injured.
Put a good offensive coordinator and a solid QB with this core and you would see a dramatic change. We need a quick passing game. Like the Giants have with Manning and his guys. As individuals, the Giants WRs are average. But they are put in the position to succeed and Manning gets them the ball and they look better.
We don't have that here.

That whole series, Romo was looking at the guys on the right (covered by Champ Bailey) or in the middle, while guys on the other side were wide open.
