I haven't seen this anywhere, but I did some research and found out that this team just tied the all-time Cowboys record for most consecutive games with 30+ points scored.

30+ points in 4 straight games has been done once before.

1986
Dal 31 NYG 28
Dal 31 Det 7
Dal 35 Atl 37
Dal 31 StL 7

2006-7
Dal 31 Det 39
Dal 45 NYG 35
Dal 37 Mia 20
Dal 34 Chi 10

Danny White was the hottest QB in the league that year until he broke his wrist against the Giants in week-9. We were 6-2 and had scored 30+ in 6 of the first 8 games. White had completed 62% of his passes with 12 TDs and only 5 INTs and was ranked ahead of Joe Montana, Dan Marino, John Elway, Warren Moon, Phil Simms, Steve Young, Jim Kelly, Bernie Kosar, and Boomer Esiason.

I was so devastated by his loss as we went on to lose 6 of the last 7 games under Steve Pelluer. Our defense fell apart as well down the stretch giving up an average of 28.2 points per game after having held our opponents to 16.8 per game in the first 10 games.

We had won our division in 1985 and added Herschel Walker to the backfield to go along with Dorsett. The combo was outstanding although Tony wasn't all that happy with the arrangement.

After White went down our season was lost. One of the most disappointing years of my life.

Isn't this better than 5-6 years ago when we fans were happy to see Quincy Carter get to 200 yards passing and the occasional 20+ points?

I know the defense has some issues still, but it is good to see the Cowboys lighting up the scoreboard.

Nice research.

So during the 4-game span in 1986, the combine score was 128, and 2006-2007 4-game total is 147, I'm wondering what is the highest total points in 4 games in the Cowboys history?

Sunday it reaches 5 straight.

I love this offense.

Just when it looked like the Chicago game was going to be the game that was the low scoring affair... WHAMMO... 34 points....

I could see this going MANY more than 5 games.

My father is a man of few words.... he looks over to me and says... WOW... they look pretty unstoppable :D

Until and if somebody else answers that one, the best I can do is that our point total in the first three games is the most since 1968.

Thanks for that.

Hmm...hot QB and suspect defense. I hope the similarities end there.

Everytime we turn around, there is some new "club record" offensive statistic being equalled or exceeded.

It is something to see.

This was in Mickey "You Kiddin' Me" Spagnola's article a day or two ago:

Then there is this: Only one other time in club history could I find a three-game stretch where the Cowboys scored at least 34 points in all three games. Just once. And at that, they only won two of those three games back in 1983, losing one, 40-38, to the Raiders, which means the Cowboys winning three consecutive games scoring at least 34 points (45, 37, 34) is a first in club history.

Anybody care to take a stab at finding the team record for most consecutive games with at least 2 TD passes?

Romo's at 4 right now.

Aikman had five straight in 1992. I don't know if that's the team record, though.

Thanks.

All I could find was the league record. Favre has the NFL record of 12 straight games with at least 2 TD passes.

And yeah it's waaaay to early to even think about it, but FWIW, if Romo broke that record, it would happen on Nov. 29th against...the Packers.

Edit: Correction. 12 straight is just the NFC record. Manning had 13 straight in 2004. Still looking for the team record.
