Kozier, not only was killed by Haynesworth, he whiffed several times pulling. The offensive line needs an injection of youth, depth and talent.

Roy Williams, ugh. The guy needs to catch the ball. It used to be so frustrating watching Owens lead the league in dropped balls and killing drives. Now we have to watch Williams do it without the upside?

Garrett, is not a good play caller. Too many times have I seen him call an off tackle run on 2nd and long, which more often than not results in 3rd and long. Too many times does he have Romo in the shotgun in 2nd and short. Too many times he runs some easily stuffed plays on 3rd and 4th and short. Has he ever heard of play action?

Kosier has been solid all year and we saw how desperately we missed his presence last year. I haven't gone back and re-watched the game but I'm willing to give Kyle a pass if indeed he had a bad game like you said he did.. it would be his first this season.

Kosier has been better than Davis this year, particularly in pass blocking. Haynesworth, for all the flack he gets here, is an elite interior lineman.

This. Kosier has been responsible for many of our 5 yard + runs this season. He's been excellent. But Hanesworth does present a mismatch, no doubt.

The only O-Lineman who had a tough game who shouldn't have was Flo, and I'm getting to be concerned about his pass blocking.

I actually thought he held his own against Haynesworth, particularly since he didn't get a lot of help with him. I thought it was kind of a statement between the two organizations that somebody like Kosier, a moderately paid journeyman guard could hold his own against a $100 million FA. Bigg has struggled recently. We need to get better play from Gurode and look to replace him in about a year or two. And we need to get Free over to LT, Flo is running on fumes right now.

The play calling in the last 2 minutes of the first half was a pathetic display of coordination. And this has happened before - failing and leaving points on the field. And it has still not been corrected, much like the continued failures on 3rd and 4th and 1 have not been corrected. Blame it on player-execution all you want, but these problems have becomoe epidemics for the Cowboys offense, and when it comes to that, it's on the coaching/coordinating.

I think it'd be interesting to see Flo play some guard in the coming years, if he can't improve his pass blocking. He can still drive people off the line on run blocking.

I mean he's under contract for a few years yet anyway.

iceberg, you are just silly.

Yeah we beat the Saints but so did the Bucs. So therefore that can't be a quality win.

And yeah we won in Washington, on National TV, and after their beat down by the Giants. But that can't be quality either. After all, the Giants are so bad that they got beat down in their departing game of Giants Stadium. We should have beaten the Skins by 50 but we only won by 17.

Iceberg, don't you get it??

I tivo'd the game and Kozier got blown up when one on one. I understand Haynesworth does that to a lot of guards. But it wasn't just Haynesworth. On screens and when he pulled he was horrible.

Davis has had better seasons but he still gets some push. Kozier doesn't get any push on any DT's that I have seen him play this season. He sometimes gets some good blocks a the second level but not last game.

Bottom line is the offensive line is aging and has no depth. Kozier is an average or below average starting guard.

The offense didn't play well. I know you homers don't like to hear criticism of any kind. That kind of offensive play isn't going to cut it in the playoffs.

Absolutely. That's his strength. He's not the greatest against power rushes, but can hold his own in large part because his footwork is really good. He's a much better drive blocker than I thought he would be, again, in large part because of his good footwork.
