We also need the officials to get it right, by rule when a receiver is going out of bounds backwards his entire foot both toe and heel must come down in the field of play. Golden Tate's right foot was out!

The NFL is Clown League. The refereeing is more of a bad joke every year.

Maybe they should go for more calls by camera real time with a bigger officiating crew monitoring the game. The "whistle" can just be an electrically activated horn so everyone hears it.

The uptick in turnovers is what we need as much as anything.

Keep getting two to three a game, it will help out a lot and allow the offense to lean towards the run late.

I am not at all confident it is a trend, but if the DL can control the LOS in a similar fashion as they did Monday night, there is a chance.

When you score in 3 q 3 pts vs the Packers.
10 points vs the Saints.
3 pts at the half vs the Jets.
Get shut our vs the Colts.
And lets not forget last seasons issues with our 29th Red-Zone ranked offense.
Beating a DEAD HORSE does not APPLY!!!!
It's problem NO 1 and keeping us from Superbowl glory.
Now let the horse be and be kind to Animals....

Is that really the rule?

That's kinda the rule, but it wouldn't nullify Tate's catch. Toe touch is considered a "foot" down because in the normal process of a step, the heel would have also been down in bounds.

Heel down, but toes over the line (in the air) would be no good. Backwards toes down, heel over the edge would also be no good... not automatically OOB, just wouldn't count as one of the 2 feet.

Tate's left foot came down (that's one foot), then his right toes came down... but because he was backwards, that only counts as the second foot if his heel would have also been inbounds in the normal process of a step. Maybe that could be debated, but IMO there was plenty of distance for that to have counted. It's more obvious from the more distant view.

After that his left for came down again, but that doesn't count as the second because left-left doesn't count, it has to be 2 different feet. Then right foot came down OOB.
