We need to calm down

I know we all upset about the whole injury situation re several of our starters. It started when T/C opened and we quickly found it that Ellis wasn't able to go as we had been lead to believe.

Then we heard Newman had a bruised heel but after 1-2 weeks we learn it's really a tear called plantar fascia & at this point who knows when he can play.

Now it appears whatever Glenn was operated on for either isn't healed yet or could even be something else but in any case he's out 2-3 weeks (maybe more?).

While it is very distressing that we could easily be w/o 3 starters this coming week against the Giants other teams have already lost players for much longer period of time or even for the season.

I'm not minimizing impact on the team if we lose 2 or even all 3 but hopefully at least 2 of them may be able to go before the end of the month. But we still have many talented players on this team and it's time for them to step it up. Crying about it isn't going to make it any better and there's no one out there who can really replace any of the 3 -- even in the short term.

I know many will say that we should have drafted a WR and a CB in the draft & I certainly wanted a first day CB. But the Cowboys felt there was a greater need at OLB and frankly Ellis inability to play sure makes me glad we got Spencer even if he makes some rookie mistakes early on.

In addition to TO, Crayton, Hurd & Austin (Stanbach needs continue develop), we've also got a good bunch of TEs & I'm pretty sure that Jason Garrett along with Wade Phillips will figure out a way to max out the players we've got.

We just need to hang in there just like the team will be doing. This may be the time we really find out how much heart/desire our team has. Other teams overcome injuries and band together & so must the Cowboys. If they do that (Eagles did it when McNabb went down), they might become the team we've been wanting for them to be. Some have said it's a lack of leadership or just something that is missing, maybe it's just they need to really play as a team and show the character necessary for any team to go deep into the playoffs or the SB.

We'll be waiting to see how much fight they have and have much desire they have to win. The team of the 90s had great talent but they also had an incredible desire to win. We will be waiting to find out.

I am calming UP! We're fine. Wit and Crayton will excel in the new timing based O.

Were you here last year? Have you ever been here during the season?

This ain't upset. You ain't seen riled up yet. Being on this board during the Saints game last year was probably the pinnacle of hilarity. This place imploded. I was just laughing at the whole situation, honestly.

I may be a Commanders fan, but when it comes to injuries I hate it when any team has injuries. Even the teams in the NFC East. Although the Eagles fans seem to cheer it on. They are classless!!

Good luck and hopefully Glenn isn't gone for the entire season. That along with Ellis and Newmann could really hamper you. If it was me, I'd probably go out and sign Reche Caldwell. Although he had some key drops vs. Indy in the championship game, he had a pretty decent season for them and I was surprised he was released.

Here's to the health of the players and the strength of the best rivalry in football.

Glenn is an injury in the making-we ALL said this at least 1000s times here.

And now we're all going ape**** over his injury?

Sorry guys-even we LOSE to the Gints on Sun, there's still nonetheless NO excuses, NONE. Please.

Edit: Ellis is an 11 monther-we ALL said this many times here. And now we're SURPRISED he'll miss 8 weeks??

I also think maybe signing Caldwell would be a good idea. Sure couldn't hurt.
