You want to install a new offense and defense mid-season?

Sorry, we're stuck with this hand or another 12 games, as much as it sucks.

Yes, Gruden has been such a great developers of QBs...

Maybe we could be like his Tampa teams and get about five of them on the roster -- none of whom can play.

Why does Sherman get a pass? According to this board, the wide receivers suck.

.

Eh, he also went to a Superbowl with Rich Gannon, who never did anything anywhere else.

He's not on the top of my list by any means, but he's not on the bottom either.

It won't happen in the season. Unless we wind up like 2-8 and the season is over. Otherwise we're stuck with Wade and Garrett until the end of the season.

Then my biggest fear is that we'll fire Wade and promote Garrett. Then we're in for another 3 years, at least, of not living up to potential and expectations.

Wouldn't it be much easier to have you leave and find a different team to complain about? It would have to be cheaper that's for sure.

As much as I'd love to see Wade and Garrett gone. This really isn't going to happen nor is it feasible. This circus act is gonna be in town at least to the end of the season. As much as these silly losses have hurt, they're hardly suprising considering who's running the show. I'm sure that Jerry is finally second guessing his decision to bring them both back, although he would never admit it publicly.

When was that?

And Gannon was what, 37 years old when Gruden had him? He was already developed, just like Brad Johnson was.

I like Grudens fire. He would definitely be an upgrade over Wade.

But then again, who wouldn't be.:D

2002, not that long ago.

Also Gannon was a career backup to that point. Gruden coached him to a Superbowl and Pro Bowl.

Romo isn't really a development project any more either. Starting to look more like a reconstruction project.

Like I said, not my first choice by any means, but we could do worse.

I was being kind of a wiseacre there. Unless I'm remembering wrong, Chuckie was coaching Tampa in that Superbowl, and Callahan was coaching the Raiders.

Call me crazy, but I really think Jerry might try to dip into the College ranks again... It is part of his circle of madness. First he recycles other people's castoffs, then his own, then he goes to the College ranks.

Yes, you are right. It was actually Grudens' first year away from Oakland.
