If you want Jason Garrett or Monte Kiffen on your coaching staff, I'm going to assume you have the same amount as football knowledge as Jerrah Jones.

I think its hilarious how you guys think I'm trolling b/c I want G and K gone. WE just gave up 300 yards to one player, that has never occured in modern football. Brees is going to cut us to ribbons.

I just don't like the gutless style of football that we play along with the predictability.

Now is not the time to fire him but if this up and down pattern continues along with an early playoff exit then we can not keep this guy.

The Cowboys are not going to be a better football team on paper next year and this basic coaching style is destined for failure.

This was our year to do something and we are not taking advantage of it at all so far.

If Jason Garrett's available in your scenario, then I'd like to see us pick him up. I think he could do a nice job under difficult circumstances here in Dallas.

Nice idea for a thread, by the way. The fire-Garrett angle is a refreshing one. Normally it's either just Fire Ginger or Fire Opie. This way is classier.

True, we are in a bad division. But I just can't understand you NOT wanting to make the playoffs just because it MIGHT mean we retain some sub-par coaches.

Point #1 - You realize Jerry is in control right? He might keep Garrett and Kiffen whether we make the playoffs or not. It's no guarantee he will fire either if we don't make the post season.

Point #2 - Even if Jerry fires Garrett and/or Kiffen it does not guarantee he will bring in any coaches that are any better than the old ones. We might just get even more Yes Men.

Point #3 - Making the playoffs and getting trounced in the first round might not be enough for Jerry to keep Garrett and/or Kiffen anyway. We just don't know Jerry's mindset on the whole deal. So why root against it?

Point #4 - There is a chance we just might make some noise in the postseason. Other teams have started slow/looked bad then turned it on in the postseason to really do some damage. I'll hold out a little hope we just might be capable of that as well. Not a great bet, but not impossible either.

So just let it play out. You don't have to be optimistic on our chances at playoff success, but stranger things have happened. Heck, maybe Jerry convinced Steven to sell his soul for another title this year since Jerry sold his long ago for the 3 SBs in the 90's.
